So I'm in the game. I'm at the main menu, and when I click downloadable content, it just makes a sound and doesn't do anything. I checked on the bioware page and it says I have to get the DLC through the main menu Downloadable content option. What am I doing wrong?

I have exactly the same problem. I have no idea how to fix it but I'm hoping someone on here does!

It's most likely a problem with the Origin settings. The in-game main menu entry just brings you to it, so start Origin separately, and
A) either go to Setting > in-game > activate Origin in-game and try the in-game menu again
or click the little [ i ] button below ME3's game library entry and then "purchase Add-ons"
