So ive never ran across anything like this. Im at a loss. During the beginning dialog with Shepard when I go to mouse over an option for him to speak, my FPS will drop down very low. When I finally gain control over Shephard, when I turn him left or right the game just stutters. 
This stutttering happens also whenver i move the mouse it makes no difference if im in direct control of Shephard or on a menu screen. Anyone ever run across an issue like this?

Same issue here - Side to side motion causes terrible stutter. I dropped my resolution way down, turned of AA, didn't help.

I didn't have this issue in the demo.

I'm running ATI 5870, Catalyst 12.1 on Vista 64

Funny I just restarted the game and noticed even during the main menu, if I move the mouse at all the scrolling text and all animation will stop but will return to normal as soon as I stop moving the mouse.

Like you ive tried dropping all settings down and in the middle but same things, Its literally unplayable like this...

Close game

Go to Origin settings

Click " IN GAME " tab

Make sure "enable origin in game" is DISABLED.

Thanks for the fix man, worked perfectly for single player and multiplayer but the problem now is i do play with friends on multiplayer which sadly requires Origin to be Enabled in game if you want to be able to invite them into your games. Wrote to Origin about this, no luck or feed back just yet ;(
