I have multiple ME2 characters whom i wished to import...unfortunately the ME3 importer only recognizes one of them.....So much for seeing how all my different decisions would effect the galaxy.

Same here, ME3 wont reconize the face for my character and can't import it. The one custom character which is in my forum picture can't be imported because the hair i'm guessing can't be reconized by the code and I did not do any mods.  I noticed from ME2 that its 2 hair styles put in one for my character, In fact I could not even recreate the hair my character used on ME1 onto ME2 for my custom character because in the character creation it only let me choose one of the fused hair styles. Please Bioware, I need to play as my custom character! Indeed this is a HUGE problem that needs to be fixed in an update ASAP! Image IPB

Yep, face didn't import but luckily I have her facecode saved on a notepad. Also, Liara doesn't acknowledge that they continued the romance after defeating the Shadowbroker.

I'm also having this problem. The facenode error comes up when I try to import my character. All things related to story seem to import fine except for my character's face. I hope Bioware gets to fixing this soon. I'm very upset and frustrated that this problem is plaguing myself and many others. It's like a movie producer taking out your favorite actor who has been in the franchise as the hero and replacing him with some other guy. It's like if George Lucas were to change Yoda's appearance in episodes 1-3 into some rat alien thing.

Bioware, fix our game please :_(

I have one face that fails to import completely, and another that doesn't look ANYTHING like it did in ME1 or ME2, as if the code is completely non-representative. I really hope there is a fix for this, because we like how our Shepards look and we don't want to have to completely rebuild their faces!

I can't even get the game to recognize that I have an ME2 save file on the HD. This is the only Xbox I've ever owned. It has never had a different HD. I have never used the Cloud save.

wtf?

This is just so wrong. I'm supposed to be playing as "MY" Shep but now I can't because, just like everyone here, ME3 can't recognize the face code from ME1. Now the Shep I'm using looks like a close relative instead of "MY" Shep. Honestly, if this problem isn't fixed soon, I'm officially done with Bioware. I don't even care how the story will end because I'm not playing as "MY" Shep am I Bioware. This is a worse slap in the face to loyal fans than Dragon Age 2.

I agree with everyone that feels like this is a huge issue. Its a cornerstone of the design of this series and I can't imagine how this wasn't caught. But in the end the developers aren't ones making the go-live decisions.
I think this error is so huge, that they should repress the game DVDs once the patch is out and give us new ones. Far in the future when I want to play some Mass Effect again, I don't want to worry about downloading a patch for what should have been the game's most basic function.
But that's not going to happen.
I'm having fun playing, but the immersiveness have been effected.

I have a method to attempt if Mass Effect 2 saves are not being detected at all by Mass Effect 3, but you should first verify that you are still able to access and load your ME2 saves in Mass Effect 2.

I'd like to throw my voice in here as well as I have over a dozen saves from ME2, and only 3 register, all of which have wrong romances(I never kept a save where I romanced Jack) and apparently it won't detect that I played through the DLC(any of it, Arrival, Shadow Broker, KAsumi) either.

Any word from the Devswould be appreciated.

Edit: The faces don't work either, though I can recreate those.

Verify that the undetected saves are still loadable in Mass Effect 2.  If they are, then a means to salvage them may be available.

QA gets 40 lashes with a wet noodle. Seriously, BioWare? Screwing up the import from 1 to 2 wasn't good enough, you decided to do it for 2 to 3 as well? I'm with others here:

- How was this not noticed
- How was it not then FIXED
- Why, in the end game of a trilogy, is something like this even an issue

I'm just not even going to play the damn game until they fix this crap. Six years of BW gaming and this is how they reward me.

I'd like to add as well that my saves won't import properly either. I've been using the same character since ME1. I can boot up my saves just fine in 1 & 2. I'm still on my original 360 and have never used cloud saving. Mostly because my internet connection sucks. I sadly won't be playing this until the import issue is resolved. I don't want to start over with a new Shepard if I can avoid it. I spent quite a bit of time making her look just right. I hope they are able to fix this issue quickly.
