I'd like to add as well that my saves won't import properly either. I've been using the same character since ME1. I can boot up my saves just fine in 1 & 2. I'm still on my original 360 and have never used cloud saving. Mostly because my internet connection sucks. I sadly won't be playing this until the import issue is resolved. I don't want to start over with a new Shepard if I can avoid it. I spent quite a bit of time making her look just right. I hope they are able to fix this issue quickly.

If your saves are still accessible in Mass Effect 2, then a means to recover them for Mass Effect 3 may be available.

Really? I'll do some more forum searching here shortly. Hopefully its something simple that I maybe just overlooked.

"you and me both" - Commander shepard

Yeah same here, I romanced liara and saved the rachi queen and kept wrex alive. Importing it to ME3 and all thOse options are exactly the opposite with no one romanced before mass effect 2 and no one romanced in mass effect 2. Rachi queen killed and wrex killed on virmire. Went back to those saves in ME2 and there still there in my game, wrex is leader of turchuka and I romanced liara in shadow broker. My guess is with all femsheps are having his problem, cause my male shep didn't have this problem, I left his default looks and I customed my femsheps looks.

Unfortunately, it is not "something simple".  It is, however, feasible.

Check http://www.gamefaqs....fect-3/62162976

If your save can still be loaded in Mass Effect 2 AND you have confirmed that you have completed the suicide mission AND survived in that save, the save may be made importable into Mass Effect 3.

Then it must be custom only. Because I have two custom face shepards who have wrong information. But I have one shepard who is default and his information is correct. All of my shepards are male. I have no female shepards.

I have to say, I realize games have bugs etc that slip through testing. It happens. But not being able to port a custom face you played from Mass Effect 1&2 is a major part of the game. If you spent a lot of time in the original Mass Effect getting a look you wanted, and that look ported over to Mass Effect 2 with no issues (well except the face scars), I can understand the mass (pardon the pun) anger over this glitch, you would think it would have been caught in testing. I always believed when testing a game where your character and decisions transfer over that would be top of the list to make sure is correct. Dragon Age 2 had issues with save game data transfers. I would suspect programmers on Mass Effect 3 would want to make sure that doesn't repeat itself in their game.Especially if they were changing thing. I spent over an hour after taking sceen shots of my Shep to make him look at least close to original, I came close but you can still tell the difference. I do hope they figure out the issue and patch it..Like others have said about it being like a movie trilogy and them replacing the lead actor from the first 2 with someone else.

Just so everyone knows. All equipment from the first game including DLC transfered from the ME2. The thing bioware did to us was having us pay for it with game credits again. But Shepard's money not our own. You have to unlock all your old armors. Pretty sweet how they set it up. haha. Now the actual face importing glitch is I think the only major problem I've seen with this game.

This seems to be a serious issue and there are multiple threads on it.

Has anyone been able to verify the PC->ME3 workaround that was suggested in some of these threads?

yes i agree zandersolo.

To have used the same save file ME1----->ME2-------> than in ME 3 it doesnt even read, as if my shepard file is non existant.... what to do, but wait?

To which "PC->ME3" workaround do you refer?  I can verify that a PC-derived Mass Effect 2 save can be imported into the XBox 360 version of Mass Effect 3, as I am playing such a character at present and at least one other player has done the same using my instruction.  Whether this method can be modified to load XBox 360-derlved Mass Effect 2 saves that are, for some reason, unseen by Mass Effect 3's importer, I cannot say; thus far, no one has confirmed the method that I have suggested.

Have you attempted the method that I proposed in a previous posting?  It will not alter the face importation issue, which is affecting all unchanged Mass Effect 1 faces, but it may allow you to import your character with the appropriate plot values.

hey dimensio,

I downloaded the two seperate files you mentioned early, going to try this tonight..... I hope it works.

By the way is it even possible to plug my xbox USB into my laptop and download someone else's me2 save file on my USB than transfer it over to my xbox? Maybe that would work?

The "new" Mass Effect 2 save data used to inject the end-game save file must be created on your own console, as it will be tagged with your console's hardware information.

Modifying save data from another console to match your own may be possible, but I do not know how it would be accomplished, nor am I aware of any source for downloading a complete XBox 360 Mass Effect 2 data collection.  I could privately send you one of my own for you to test, but I could not explain how you could modify it to be used on your own console.

I am having the same problem I can't load my created femshep and its basically destroyed the whole ability for me to load and play my shepherd. Please bioware I implore you to correct this problem. I tried to create a similar shepherd but I can't since the facial and other unique options are simply not there to do so.

Does anyone know if this issue is being addressed? All the other articles I read said that it doesn't load cloud saves, but my save was copied from a memory stick....I wish we could have known about this problem before buying the game.

I don't understand how a imported option which is the hallmark of the trilogy doesn't function. Bioware I can load my save but no matter which completed save I load I can not load my shepherd that I created and played with from inception years ago. I can't remake my shepherd because 5 or 6 options from my created shepherd is inexplicably absent from character creation. To whom it may concern please patch or incorporate the game mechanics/files that will resolve this game breaking bug. I have been a Bioware customer and supporter since kotor 1 and Bioware has been the leader of rpg formats for many years, but this issue is a game killer for me and I can't play until its resolved. I humbly ask for this function to be corrected as soon as possible. Thank you

Yeah, I'm dealing with the same problem. The joy I thought I'd be having experiencing ME 3's campaign has been destroyed because of the import issue. How could this major bug slip by in testing. I mean, it's literally at the beginning of the game. I refuse to even attempt to recreate a close approximation of any of my Sheperds! I spent a lot of time getting each of them to look the way that I wanted.

They're each special to me. Everyone here has their various versions of Sheppy that are special to them as well. Bioware, you need to get your people on this ASAP! Give us an update here on the forums at least! The silence from you is maddening! I refuse to play ONE SECOND of the campaign until this is fixed. I want to be able to play as "my" Sheperd, not his distant cousin that kind of looks like him. Until then, I'll just be running around in MP trying to have fun there.

Omega_Spectre that's my sentiment exactly. I am for a lack of a better word "attached" to my shep that I made all the way back in ME1. I have multiple playthroughs whether it be renegade or paragon, with various different variables spaning them all. The one constant is my shepards "look" thru them all. Now I can't even load my shepherd's look because it can't locate the correct look because IMO the facial options just aren't there for the game to replicate them. But the silver lining is I have faith in Bioware to correct the problem. If any company cares about long time customers, its Bioware. All we can do is be patient for the patch, which I firmly believe will be forth coming. At least I hope so.....

I can't even begin to describe the disappointment I feel here. I'm in the same boat where my faces wont import and recreating them is near impossible due to hair selections. So all I can do is wait and hope EAware doesn't decide to f**k me out of my purchase price by not fixing this. THIS IS A GAME BREAKING FAULT! It RUINS the experience I expected when I paid for the game that none of my characters that I've created from ME1 can look like they have before. This may well be the final nail in the coffin of the once great Bioware. First I was a little let down by DA2, then TOR came out and fell flat (for me personally and for my own reasons, no comment on the game's quality or whatnot), and now this. I have done everything possible to stay spoiler free for ME3, but no one could miss the uproar over the leaked spoilers. I don't know whats so bad with the endings yet, and sadly I may never even play this game to find out if I can't play as my own d@mned face, I won't play period...and will never give my money to EAware ever again. R.I.P. Bioware.
