Why aren't there more posts on this???

*Begin vent*
I'm a HUGE fan of MAss Effect and was extremely excited to download the game and finally when I get in to import my ME2 save......NOPE!

Did Bio even test this game before releasing it? Seriously, my characters face is one of the most important aspects of  the game and they can't even figure out how to import it from ME2????

ARE THERE ANY FIXES FOR THIS or is EA going to give all players the middle finger. YES, I tried re-creating my character in the editor and it doesnt even come close with the options...1 example is the lack of ANY dark makeup like the first two MEs....

*End vent*

Just suprised there aren't more people raging about this. I'm literally about to ask for a refund because I'm so disapointed with this tiny thing that is so big...:(

This just happened to me too. Super pissed right now. I've had the same character since ME1 and I was really looking forward to importing it right away. Now, instead of enjoying the game, I'm looking around for the actual face code in the hope that I can pull something together. Just wonderful.

Aren't you overreacting? I mean, sure it's a little annoying but spending 15 - 20 minutes recreating the face can't be THAT bad.

It's like a Movie series swapping out the main actor for some random guy lol. It just doesn't feel the same at all.

Apparently you have to have tweaked your ME1 character at the beginning of ME2 even a little bit for it to work.

We need patch.

Same here. When one of the last updates came out for ME2.They added the code system to on the top of the level up screen.I typed that in and nothing changed.
I adore the way my Shepard looked in Mass Effect 1.I even spent about a hour making him. When he transfered to Mass Effect 2.He looked even cooler and i changed nothing about the way he looked. I'm not mad, just disappointed.:?. Its the little things like this that make or break a game.Just please someone tell me if Bioware will patch this or not and thank you for your time.

Damn...spend full day creating face in ME2 character creation, then translated it to ME1...pretty sweet looking girl. Now I import her into ME3 and she looks like a kabuki trailer trash. Please Bioware fix this, as I have to create a new character not to get sick every time I look at her expressionless UGLY facemask..like female Michael Myers

Man what is this?! I hope this gets patched ASAP. No offence to Vanderloo, but he's just not how I envision my Manshep to look like.

I'm also upset. I love my FemShep. I love her purple eyes. It's like they said "Thanks for staying loyal to us since day one" and shooting us in the face laughing. Why aren't they taking care of us....the ending spoilers got me depressed already and now this, I'm sad panda.

I am just going to multiplayer it until this blows over. If I get 100% galatic readiness rating from multiplayer alone...

Guys - wrong forum, take it to the ME3 forums because this is like the wild west, no Bioware staffers set foot in these forums.

I agree. This is the most ignorant thing bioware has done. I feel betrayed and down right pissed off to the very core of my being. I will not be playing the campaign until this gets resolved and if it doesn't, well there is always some other sucker out there willing to buy trash. Next time don't give me the ****ing option to create a character if you just going to take it away. Bunch of Indian givers.

Funny thing. When I booted up Mass Effect 2 for the first time, I actually DID try to edit my ME1 Shepard at first. But whenever I clicked on "customize appearance," it gave me various presets instead. There was no option to tweak my old Shepard that I was aware of, though that may just be a derp on my end. There might've been an option there I didn't notice for some reason. So I basically just shrugged and said "oh well. He's fine as is."

So yeah. I do feel a little screwed over by this. Hopefully Bioware will fix this soon.

The core of the game experience is the ability to carry over the story, but also the physical appearance of the character.

The fact is if anyone is in my position you know that recreating the face is next to impossible.

My character is essentially the second option of the pre-created faces from Mass Effect 1.  But if you look at the pre created faces for the male character is Mass Effect 2 and 3 you will notice the one I used isn't there anymore.

I tried for several minutes to find and create my original face with no luck at all.

It was easier just to import the face from 1 to 2, why is it so hard to do the same from 2 to 3?

I agree with what a lot of people are saying.  You would think something like this would have been caught BEFORE they released it.

How is it a game this well done could have such a serious design flaw.  I've always admired bioware for their attention to detail and this is a major oversight.

Here's what you do

1. Start a ME2 game that has a ME face imported.
2. Write down the facecode.
3. Download the facecode to slider convertor
4. Use convertor.
5. Remake face with sliders.

I was able to recreate my FemShep. It was incredibly accurate, minus the hair. Now it is combed in a different direction.

EDIT: Typo.

I would do this if I had the PC versions of the game.  But I don't I have the Xbox 360 versions.  This only works for the PC and it's not a option for the Xbox gamers.
