You are kidding yourself if you think this is not highres already! Just look at the detail on Andersons clothes ESPECIALLY in the collar. /sarcasm
The only thing worse than the ****ty textures is the terrible FOV. FYI Open the images in a new tab otherwise they don't look as atrocious in a smaller rez.
Man, talk about exaggeration. You took the very worst examples you could find, and posted them while inferring that those kind of textures were a common occurrence in the game......when they're not.
I've been playing the game all day, and I've taken dozens of screenshots, some of which I've already posted.
And like I said, while the game clearly doesn't have the texture quality of say the Witcher 2, the texture quality is very much superior to previous Mass Effect games... So there hasn't been regression, or even stagnation in that respect.

We've got dynamic shadows, high definition range lighting, smoothed shadows and buttload of graphical acronyms that noone understands but makes the graphics better and run half as fast...
Yet textures are stuck in what ... the year 2000?
Seriously... Max Payne 2 and Halflife2 aren't that far behind when you look at certain things and those games are oooold.

Well, given that the textures we see people wearing (especially Shepard's own) are the ones we see more closely, it'd be nice to have them not be ridiculously blurry when the camera zooms in on them. It's nice that random rock #5 is impressive, but we won't be looking at it often.
There are also ridiculous clipping issues. My femshep clips through one of her casual outfits (the dress uniform) just through normal conversation on the ship, because her neck goes through the collar. Did they not actually USE the models in any dialogs? Yeesh.
Don't get me wrong, for the most part things are nice. The thing is... the problems are really glaring ones. They're hard to miss.

I should also point out I am a PC player and I am disappointed in some of the textures. The close ups of the armour/outfits are very blurry and stand out a lot, which is a real shame. It's just so mind bogglingly frustrating that adding something like high-res textures is so trivial yet would do so much for the game...

This is probably the worst game, graphically, I've played in a long time.
With that said, EA made things right w/ Crysis 2 on PC by releasing a DX-11 patch and high resolution pack. It took them awhile, but they did it. Maybe Bioware will get their heads on straight and do the same as there is NO EXCUSES for Anderson's collar to look like ******* Nintendo 64 in 2012.

Please, we would like an update on this matter...
unless bioware actually plan to release better quality textures they'll stay quiet. They never reply when the truth is negative.

Oh, so Bioware is doing the same thing as in Swtor. The textures are pretty bad...
Apparently but game update 1.2 for swtor will have the option for higher res textures. Just disappointed ME3 has bad textures from the get-go.

I can hardly bear to look at this game coming from ME2 with a ton of high-res textures added via Texmod.

That had nothing to do with EA. They're just the publishers of Crysis 2, they don't own Crytek; and it was Crytek who decided to release those updates at their own expense.
Do you really see EA doing this for ME3?

Hey guy's don't diss because we all know people in the future in the mass effect universe all wear clothes that have strange blurry threads and materials!

I'm a bit surprised they don't have a high-res texture pack for download. Maybe next week?
Would have thought they'd have learned to at least upgrade the graphics after the ****fest that was DA2.
Other UE3 games can look amazing, why do some of these textures look like they're circa 2000?
