Hi guys n gals, I have through some unfortunate file cleaning lost all my save games from Dragon Age 1 whereas I still have 2 character profiles online which had completed all the way thru to end of Awakening. Is there any way of using these characters in a play through of Dragon Age 2?
I am playing it presently as a rogue from Dragon age 2 only, and for another play through it would be great to use my previous mage and fighter from dragon age 1.

Can you load a game with either character, then you could generate the save. If not then you will have to either play DAO again or, get a gibbed save generator to create an import save for DA2. Just search for it, the save generators are freeware.

Thanks for that. Neither character would load so followed your advice and Gibbed a save game which worked well enough to create a Save for Dragon Age 2. (Gibbed.dragonage.Savegenerator) Whilst using it whatever I clicked didn't stay highlighted, but it did appear in the story afterwards, so hopefully that will allow me to play it thru with some connection to Dragon age 1.

I may it that soon as my current Rogue + party got slam dunked by the Ancient Rock Wraith, which is 1 tough S O B!!!

It does allow the choices you make in the gibbed save to influence DA2 - just as if you had played DAO and made those choices. I like it because a few of them make for different quests and, change NPC dialog in DA2. I can gib a save that I never played
