My opinion , and in no way is this meant to be ugly toward bioware

They took it out along with stuff like the holster animation in order to save memory on consoles.
Got a link of BioWare stating that?
Didn't think so.

It's cute that you asked me a question then went ahead and answered it in my stead

Someone involved with game design already explained this on another thread: film grain is a RAM-hungry post-processing that eats up a significant portion of the 'budget'. Basically it was either that or anti-aliasing as both would have made the framerate drops worse, so take your pick.
The Ram thing again? Oh come on Bioware...
I am not questioning your comment my friend, but that excuse seems to be the wildcard for Bioware.
RAM is the problem for holstering weapons, RAM is the problem for film grain, it sounds really really poor from my point of view especially when ME2 had all the above and without problems...
But hey, lets say RAM is indeed the issue for all these shortcomings, so, er... why does the PC version miss film grain or holstering? Is PC RAM still not enough for Bioware? I seriously doubt the whole RAM excuse... we have seen more beautiful console games with better animation and huge envioronments and there were no such ram issues to prevent animations and effects.

There is really no reason to not just copy paste the effect from ME2 for the PC version, no reason at all. Same engine. Really, this is one of those things that are really simple to do.
Would an ENB injector work?

They can ... like ...make it optoinal to turn on ...you know.
agreed. As they did with both ME1 and ME2. I really dont understand why they removed an option that was there from the begining! Film grain is like a Mass Effect trademark for us. It didnt bother Bioware with the first 2 games, NOW it does? I dont get it.
Please give us back the option.

no more film grain? *cancels pre-order*
you are not funny. Nobody said that they will cancel preorder for this reason. Seriously this "joke" is old. If you guys dont find anything remotely possible to improve Mass Effect 3, then please go play the game and let us try and bring back more options that will eventually improve the quality of this game.
It is not irrational to politely ask to bring back a feature that was here from the first Mass Effect. Especially such an easy one as film grain effect...

Film grain was the first thing i always turned off.
and thats ok, but that is not an excuse for it to not be there as an option. Because a lot of us loved it and never turned it off. So Bioware could please both of us by offering this option. To me Mass Effect without film grain looks like a plastic mess all over the place. Film grain was perfect in hiding the plastic fell of Unreal Engine 3 and gave the game a much more realistic and cinematic feel.
