Quarb, named after a character in Sci-Fi story in an old Warren magazine (Eerie # 98). The story was called "Quarb and the Warball". I've used the name for several characters in the past and it seemed to fit the dog (in my mind anyway).

As I once wrote in another thread, my mabari war dog is named Ottone. That's because it's italian for "copper", which is his fur colour, but it also means "Big Otto", and Otto is a common german-ish name for dogs.
