i named one of mine snuggles. it was my wifes suggestion. the other i named carrot, in reference to discworld. we have an actual dog named angua, carrots girlfriend.

First play through, I named him after my dog, Jasper. Then my wife chose Mr Dog on hers. I called him Rabbit and Brutus on subsequent games.
