Yeah, 1.8/10 for User Reviews...Yeah sorry, to many trolls to be trustable.

I go to neogaf and read the impressions there. Way more solid opinions that journalists.

New system...?

Hasn't X-Play always done things on a 1-5, whole numbers only, scale?

So clearly none of these reviewers played with an imported Shepard that went all the way back to ME1 then.

Most likely not. Stupid of them tbh.

I guess trolls have nothing better to do with their time.

It's disturbing and probably will be quite damaging.

Does anyone actually pay attention to user reviews? They are always filled with either fanboys giving clear 10's or trolls just giving 0's and 1's. Quite useless really.

Well said, the day one dlc and same sex relations make this game simply unplayable! Good thing I read the user score.

I'll only be able to give my personal opinion of the game after playing ME3 this weekend, but ultimately time will tell if Bioware dropped the ball or not with ME3.

Review scores and their validity aside, it's the sales figures that's going to tell us if gamers believe Bioware did the series proud or not. Lets just hope that if sales do take a nosedive like DA2 did shortly after release they realize that something somewhere is wrong and do what's needed to fix it.

They decided that too many games were getting 5's, so they added the possibility of a .5 rating. for instance, SSX got a 4.5.

It will balance out once more people start posting their reviews. The gaming press hands out 9s like candy so gamespot or IGN giving ME3 a 9 or 9.5 or w/e is pretty meaningless (to me).

Reading people's impressions on forums (preferably "neutral" forums) is the best way to know. And reading *actual* user reviews, which will pour in soon enough. Not one liners with a 0.

how much is the IGN video review gonna spoil for me? can I watch it without fearing they'll say how it's gonna end, who's gonna die or something major? I don't care that much about gameplay spoilers as I do about story.

ME3 is killing it with the reviews.. holy crap. This is delicious. The haters and trolls must be absolutely seething.

You know they'll just claim that all the reviewers were paid off, just like they do everytime there's a game they don't like that gets high reviews.

Most, if not all reviews, are biased. People shouldn't be surprised.

Yes they are quite informative even the 0's and 1's not so much for game, but whether the game changed a lot from previous installments and if the impression is the developer "sold out".

Like any review you won't get much about the game from just a score. Got to read the text Image IPB

Just throwing this out there... I can't remember the last time they gave out a 10/10, and I've been reading GI for years now.

It's been a while so that's a pretty impressive feat for Mass Effect 3.

Yeah what we have here obviously is an international conspiracy to fool people into thinking ME3 isn't rubbish. Thank goodness for Metacritic and its users for exposing this despicable ploy...

I find whether other people think "x has sold out" to be an extraordinarily poor metric for determining how good a game is. YMMV, of course, I think that phrase become a joke some time back in the 70's.

EDIT: And, for the record, I thought DA2 was at best an average game. Definitely didn't deserve the 8 it has on Metacritic.

Say what? Go read the metacritic user scores for the recent CoD games. All of them are below 4.0, and the reason above all for that is that each game is just more of the same! No innovations, no new features, etc.

And "sold out" is just a meaningless catch-all term used by hipsters to describe anything they perceive as "too mainstream".

79% on 360? I'd hardly call that unequivocal praise.
