Done.

Wait, nothing changed.

Oh wait, cause they have a valid point.

I'd write why but I'm afraid I can't because I'm auto-posting.

As an off topic comment, I considered making you the bar owner (Rebecca) instead of Helen Mirren in my F2 LP for precisely this reason, especially when you consider how you defended DA 2. It's like you mirror image yourself when you switch subforums. It's so damn surreal. Plus the avatar would've been hilarious.

Thanks for the RPS link, somebody:

This is the new rape face.

Also, ITT: people take reviewers and metacritic scores seriously. LAWLZ. Actually read the reviews, many of them give the impression they're trying to one-up themselves on how they can praise the game using BIG WORDS from paragraph to paragraph. Up until the MP component, the IGN review read more like an advertisement.

I guess trolls have nothing better to do with their time.

It's disturbing and probably will be quite damaging.

huh? what? are u serious?

Have you never read how low meta critic scores impact on sales? Quite a large % of game buyers don't believe reviews and are guided by user scores.

Just like MW3 right?

I've been meaning to write this, but haven't had the interest in jumping into the threads about dialogue choices:

there's barely any dialogue prompts.

That sounds like hyperbole.

Right and i assume you have gone through 30 odd play hours already right? completed it and marvelled at the credits at the end?

I've watched from start to near finish (and I've seen the "final battle" and the endings), I've read the script and I've played until past Mars (which isn't that far in but meh).

And I haven't marvelled at the credits and the end because that's the worst part.

this is like admitting you know everything about daily life of the Incas or Aztec or any of the great ancient civilisations from few stone monuments, scribbles, some watered down descendants who really have no clue anyway and saying, it was awful they all died out anyway..

well sometimes it's about the journey even if they all die in the end, it's about making an effort, i'm not 10 years old and do not need flowers and rainbows, main characters of my favourite books geneally die and it leaves a deep and sad mark on me but that's what makes it worth it.

10/10...? Seriously? I mean, really?

So we have "perfection" here? A fully fledged Story driven game with RPG elements, greatly fleshed out characters and dialogue, intense action, sharp AI, next gen graphics?

We have a "Myst", Planescape Torment" and "Fallout New Vegas" hybrid here?

How about "no".

With what I have seen so far, and I havent seen anything but the demo, which I have come to realize is symptomatic for at least the first couple of hours of gameplay, that does not make a "10/10" game. Because thats damn near perfection.

And thats why I do not trust reviews from major gaming magazines, but lean toward what my own ilk with background in pen and paper tells me.

Dont get me wrong. ME3 might be great. But 10/10?

10/10s are just troll like 1-0's,

i dont trust ign since they reviewed uncharted 3 at 10/10.

It was exactly the same as uncharted 2 plus 'character touching wall mechanics'.

It's still a good game if you don't mind an uncharted 2 regurgitation but 10/10? nahh

I really don't think you can tar all gaming sites with the same brush. Yes, certain sites are more trustworthy than others, but there's a lot of reputable, trustworthy sources of game reviews as well. So when all of these sites tend to be in agreement with one another, that's a pretty strong indication 99% of the time of what you're going to get.

Just because a game sells a lot does not change that. A lost sale is a lost sale. Sure if your selling 10 million it's not as obvious, but it's still the same.

I'd tend to go more 9/10 but 10/10 should be reserved for games that revolutionise a genre.

This sort of stuff I find funny.

The end of the series is a mixed bag. Satisfying in some ways, nonsensical in others, and ultimately too simple.

Opening tagline of review followed up with a 93 % score.

Or

It may not have the sheer landmass of their just-released MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic and it might not stand the test of time quite the way simpler, more focused games like Knights or the original two Baldur's Gate titles did, but it's still a wonderful game with tons of content, great production values, a masterful eye for humor and drama, and a cast of lovable characters

That sure sounds like a game worth 100% Image IPB

I dont understand where all the hate is coming from on metacritic. I played for 5 hours yesterday and to me Bioware is doing a great job. I really felt like there was a massive war going on and that im not sure if is it going to end well. I got goosebumps when meeting old friends again. Maybe all those haters on metacritic didn''t play the first 2 games? Can't wait till my workday is finished so i can continue my shepard's final story

The lack of mention in these reviews of the increased auto-dialogue is bugging me. If they were praising it as a good move to improve the cinematic nature of the game, I could understand that. But I can't see how it can be considered not worth mentioning.

edit: Metacritic user reviews a pretty much useless.

I think major sites will go easy on ME3 just to fit with the fanbase and not to gat a backlash from the reader and communities alike.

Bulls***.

They have their own opinions. The problem is clearly they don't match yours so instead of respecting their opinions, you're coming up with reasons why their opinions are less valid than yours. Which is, as I wrote, bulls***. At least your attempt at an explination is better than "OMG EA gives $$$hatz."

I agree 100 with ya!! I wont even get my hands on the game for another week cuz Im deployed but I was hoping to hear good things about it from BSN since the majority will have had it by now. But I guess thats not the case. Guess I'll have to wait til I play it myself. But i know for sure I'll love it!

Seems most "legit" critic reviews are just as worthless as most metacritic user reviews these days. I'm speaking in general terms too, not just about ME3.

It's this thinking that "yes, they removed some of the stuff that made the original great, but because it's a sequel we don't care."

Game is great but unfortunately the endings are quite disappointing to us fans. Sloppy, simplistic and way too open.

LOL so many people making new threads on Metacritic.
They are funny reads but taking them seriously? really?
half of those reviews are being used as their on personal blogs and they don't even talk about the game their supposed to be reviewing.
One guy went on a huge gigantic rant about how ME3 is spitting on the graves of everyone who died for this country.
Anyone who reads this and is basing their purchases on what these people say don't deserve the money they have.

or maybe the inclusion of more auto-dialogue isnt really that big a deal? Is there really a need for everything that Shepard says to be decided by you? Maybe the reviewers think that more auto-dialogue would take away from the cinematics?

my point is that everybody has an opinion. The entire game isnt just one big cutscene, it only has increased auto-dialogue. Is that so bad?
