Same problem. After Origin's update I just can't launch Mass Effect 3. Origin tells that currently I'm playing ME3, but there is no window or even response after trying to launch it. First the DLC authorization problems now this. Y'know, this Origin stuff are really getting on my nerves. What's the point in service with so many problems? Pirates gonna crack their games anyway, with Origin or without it. And now it's just a nuisance for those who want to pay for developers' work.Optimus J wrote...
That thing in which my mass Effect 3 appear as a process, but not as a Window, which give no access to the game while Origin say it's running started after Origin updated from 8.5.2 to 8.6.0.
So much for quality assurance, huh?
Don't mind my whining, I'm just kinda upset because I can't even play a single-player of ME3 during my long-awaited free time 'cause of some goddamn problems out of nowhere. Eh... bad luck.

Their option is to admit they aren't competent enough to sustain it and bring better people to command them, or to stay running around corridors with a cardboard crown for the short time the company still viable.
BTW:
I can run it again because it was "updated" to the previous version, today. But the lack of QA seem to linger.

I'm getting the exact same thing. Its frustrating to be able to play the game beautifully one day, and then suddenly I can no longer play it. I get lucky sometimes with the game starting and working fine, but then if I exit and attempt to launch it again, nothing happens. Last time it started up correctly, I was informed my DLC was corrupt. I am not tech savvy enough to attempt workarounds. It sucks.

The point is to revert back to Origin 8.5, which I also tried to do but the older version just forced the Origin 8.6 update which eventually turned out to be causing the glitch. I downloaded the 8.5 version from dmex's link, replaced the contents of the Origin folder, started Origin with the /noupdate command and voila, ME 3 launched right away!
Here is the thread with the instructions and link to older versions of Origin: forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/15/8633365.page#22923150
Hope this helps.
P.S.: Keep in mind that if you use the noupdate command, Origin will ingore any new update's, including, the one which would (I hope) solve this issue. The above solution is intended to be temporary. Once there is a fixed version of Origin, you should remove the /noupdate command and let Origin update. Otherwise your game might not launch.

I repaired the install, the game didn't launch. I uninstalled me3 and Origin then i reinstalled everything and it still didn't work. Origin, Bioware or EA better fix this, it means I have to play me3 multiplayer at an internet cafe, which sucks.
This also means i have to play other games that i son't want to because theres Operation Shieldwall this weekend.

Never had a problem with it before this god awefull update.
Sometimes going into Task manager and ending ME3, then exiting Origin works. Sometimes...
