I just put a "1" on the end and it worked. That way, if I need to restore it back, I can easily get rid of the extra digit.law4426 wrote...

That said, is this acceptable? We won't get banned for this, right?

From EA forum: Hey guys can you try the following:
exit origin
go to your origin install folder
rename IGO32.DLL to something else
relaunch origin and try launching your game
FINALLY! Thanks!
Worked for me as well, thanks!

Has nobody been able to fix this? Renaming the .dll file is the same as turning off the option to enable Origin ingame. It's not a fix, it's merely a bypass. Why's this broken when it wasn't before?

Another problem is Avast Antivirus update, which freezes Origin and game, preventing you to open them.
check here: http://social.biowar.../index/13038085
it can be solved in 3 seconds.

Origin downloaded some updates to mass effect 3. Now the games will not start. I go to Games folder in Windows 7 and select the game but absolutely nothing happens. The game was running before the update. Is there a solution please?

I've got the same problem. I dont get any error messages or so. When I try to launch the game, Origin seems to be starting the game, then poof..... nothing happens. I can see Mass Effect 3 at Task Manager for a while with 1500 K but it disappears after a couple of seconds.
