Pre-order bonus code already redeemed?

Yeah, same issue for me, when it came to redeeming my Gamestop pre-order code, BSN told me the code has already been redeemed and when tried to do it via Origin, it said the code is invalid. Took some screenshots and will have to go down to the store tomorrow, see if they can get me a replacement. I sure do hope they can get me a code that works. Would also love to know why so many people are having the same problem with Gamestop codes...

Any official input on this?

The Bioware site is telling me my code has already been redeemed, and Origin is telling me the code is invalid. What can I do :(

Edit 1: Contacting EA Live help will only get you the response to contact your local retailer. The main Pre order bonus code that has this issue seems to be EB Games/Gamestop N7 Defender armor and weapon.

Same issue - DERP I'm an idiot and just made a thread about this.  Oops my bad.  But yeah, same issue mate :/

Here on social, it says

"Unable to redeem code.

That code has already been used, and cannot be redeemed again."

Hope BioWare can sort this out soon.

This has been by far the most time consuming and frustrating game install I've ever done.

I have to agree with most of the sentiments. The bonus items and unlockables are redeemed in different ways and it is hard to figure out.
I recommend to everyone with redeemable content to play to the first save point in the game.
Then, register the game at http://social.bioware.com under My Games of your Bioware profile page with the same account you want to redeem the game on. After it successfully registers go here: http://social.biowar...redeem_code.php to redeem the bonus character, mission, and gun (if you got it). Then, go back to My Games and check Your Registered Game Content and follow the directions there. For the dlc you need to let it install from ingame. Then restart ME3. Once logged in, check your mail for a new message.
Also, alot of the bonuses are unlocked ingame already for certain stuff. I think the Reckoning Armor, the N7 Weapons, and the dog all were introduced to me in the Mail system.

Good luck all, hopefully it will get sorted out and your experience is much more pleasant.

Yeah where are you guys getting these pre-order bonus codes? I haven't gotten mine either. (I pre-ordered the Digital Deluxe Edition from Origin)

Same here. The content doesn't show in registered game content here on the site, nor in Origin. I received an email from Origin saying Mass Effect 3 was available for download, but nothing about the pre-order items.

So EA charged me the same cost of the physical collector's edition, but I didn't get any of the CE items (PC Collector's Edition was sold out everyplace that offered pre-order bonuses ages ago), and I didn't get the pre-order items either.

I've never liked the Origin service. I think this is the last time I ever buy a game that uses it.

I'll try that, Orange, but I'm not sure that's the problem. We'll see when I get to that point in the game. (Edit: Turns out it wasn't)

Anyway, I also have the problem. I made another topic, so I'll link here. And I'm also going to *try* to help.

GameStop CAN print you out new codes! However, most GameStop employees (including many managers) have NO CLUE how to do it. So I'm gonna tell you, and you can walk them through it. I shouldn't get in trouble for this, but if i do oh well.

1) Call the store you reserved the game at. It'd be better to go in person... but then you'd have to have this all written down. If you do go in, bring your receipt. That's really the best way. But yes, because of the next step, it does have to be the store you reserved the game at.

2) Have them check the games you have picked up from them. Have them check reservations, then give them your phone number. You may need to confirm it by giving them your name, too. When they pull it up, Mass Effect 3 won't be visible because their screen only shows items you haven't picked up yet. Tell then to make sure your name is selected (press down, then up on the arrow keys), then press CTRL+O (or maybe it's ALT+O). This will change it to show all games you've picked up in the last several months. They'll be able to see Mass Effect 3 on there.

3) Now that you've proven to them you preordered and bought the game from them, you can start the process of getting a new code. Have them open up a SKU search (F10 outside, or ALT+S inside a transaction). They should them type in (into Description) "Back*Mass." The asterisk is very important! Capitalization isn't. :-P It'll bring up some items called something like "Backup Code: Mass Effect 3." The reason I didn't have them type that in is because sometimes random words are abbreviated, or the punctuation is different.

4) There should be 3 SKUs, one each for PS3, XBox360, and PC. Have them copy down the appropriate SKU.

5) Enter that code into a transaction. It'll ring up as $0. If you're really nice, tell them your Power Up Rewards Pro Card (the silver one) number so it doesn't count against their percentages. If you only have the black card, it won't help them. You won't get any points from this since it's $0.

6) Tell them to finalize the transaction. It'll print out a receipt with the code. Copy it down VERY CAREFULLY. Read it back to them. Make sure you don't lose the code.

7) Tell them to put the receipt somewhere safe for a few hours while you try the code out, just in case.

8) Tell them thank you, because this'll take a minute or two if they've never done it before.

This is the most GameStop can do for you. I don't know if all of these codes work or not, but you'll get a second code. If all of the codes aren't working, that's on EA. EA is the one who tells GameStop how to generate the codes, I'd venture.

The code can be successfully entered into BioWare Social. That's what I had success with, so that's what I would do if I were you.

PLEASE don't abuse this. I'm going to remove these instructions in a few days, when hopefully everything is fixed.

BTW, this second code worked for me.

Add me to the list apparently. Bought at EBGames, code already activated according to Bioware and invalid according to Origin. EA tech support told me to go to store. Called store and was told to call EA.

Sigh.

This is AFTER I tried to purchase the Ashes DLC through Origin. Origin crashed midway through transaction, took the money but didn't give content. At least that got sorted out though.

It'd be nice if there was a simple list of actions needed in order to actually get all this pre-order content sorted. People on Origin haven't a clue where theirs is (just WHAT are the Bioware Social gems that DDE was supposed to get too?) among other issues.

Sucks it wasn't a simple fix.  Sounds like someone from EA needs to talk to 3rd party retailers and get stuff sorted out.  My Collector's edition was already opened when I recieved it in the mail from BestBuy.   I think someone just wanted to check out the contents because nothing is missing and all my codes worked eventually.  But I was still anxious after I opened it and started installing.

If you meant the special edition avatars they are in the Profile/Change Profile Photo/Mass Effect 3 Collector's Edition Portraits.  You need to activate your ME3 Player Profile first.

Got the same trouble, problem is I can't go back to get a new code, it was already painful enough to get there once...

How can all the codes be redeem already? I mean did some hacker stole them somehow?

Tony Knightcrawler: I'd try that, but I have no way of getting down to the store itself for several days at least and my phone has been having several problems calling out recently. So I guess I'm out of luck. :\\

I'll go to the store if I have a chance tomorrow. Just to rule out the possibility that we all received the same code somehow does anyone have the same last 4 digits 4ZA9?

Mine doesn't end like that. I have no idea what could be  wrong with the codes.

You can't call them, Alexender (obviously they're closed right now :-P)? Their phone number will be on the top of the receipt.

Yuoaman, my code doesn't have that in it at all. Good thinking to try it, though. Can't borrow anyone's phone?

Yeah, Bioware and Origin can't seem to decide between them whether the code has already been redeemed or is just invalid. Though I doubt the latter, since Origin actually shows what the code is before it screws you over.

EA got me a code earlier today. The representative told me he couldn't do anything then I asked for the Origin pre-order bonus, he came back a while later and gave the N7 EB Games code!

It's a case of Gamestop, EA and Bioware worshipping the God Of Money known as Payola. I'm having this problem, and I don't appreciate getting screwed out of my prereserve content. If Bioware is smart along with EA, they had better fix this and fast, or come next year, when the new C&C Generals 2 game comes out, I won't be getting it.

You would think that someone would have learned a lesson or two with code problems from DA:O, or DA2 or ME2... guess not.
hopefully when I go back to GS later today, they'll be able to help.

If i try entering it into Origin now, it recognizes the code but then tells me it's invalid when I confirm it.

Indeed it is. Thankfully Yuo got through on Twitter earlier so lets hope they actually look into this!
