 On the Citadel, I picked up the side quest to get the prothean obelist from Shrike Abyssal for the volus.

However, the Shrike Abyssal does not show up on the galaxy map at all. The quest is still in my journal and active, no indication that I passed the invisible time limit.

What gives? I want to do this mission but the location doesn't appear on the galaxy map. Gah!

Nevermind, I found another topic about it that answered my question...sorry.

I used the Search function and it didn't appear, and I didn't want to look over all the thread titles at first because I didn't want to spoil anything for myself.

I wish you would have posted a link to the other topic. I'm wondering the same thing but afraid to look too hard through the forums, lest I find spoilers for things I don't want spoiled. I just wanna know if Shrike Abyssal is going to show up in my galaxy map at some point or if this is glitchy.

The Shrike Abyssal shows up after the Palaven moon mission.

I just came across it a about an hour ago.

I was wondering this too! But.... I scanned the hell out of it and didn't find anything.... Help?

I have this mission as well and I keep scanning the planet after every mission ive done and I still havent been able to get the proper planet to give me the prothean artifact, the system shows up at 50% and I get a maximum of 2 scans before the reapers show up and I have to complete another mission. I am hesitant to proceed in the story cause ive heard that certain missions dissappear when you progress sometimes. I am playing the pc versions of ME3. I am also at the point in the story where I have the mission Priority: Tuchanka. If needed I can list the missions I have and have completed. I also am having trouble securing the artifacts for the Aria: Blue suns mission from that planet as well.

In general, if you have a mission that requires you to get an artifact from a planet, but you can't access the cluster and system the planet is in, it will probably appear after you do the next "Priority" mission. If it doesn't appear after that, do another "Priority" mission.

I'm also having this issue, I scan the planet required but nothing happens, do it again and then the reapers turn up..

The Shrike Abyssal shows up and I was able to scan every inch of both the systems, but Talis Fia never provided the Prothean Obelisk.

I have 100% of assets (some fuel) recovered from both the Urla Rast and Xe Cha systems, but I never got the prothean obelisk and scanning the planet Talis Fia (as recommended here http://masseffect.wi...rothean_Obelisk provides nothing.

The quest is still in my active mission log.

I am in the same boat.... This is pretty frustrating, I can scan the whole Shrike Abyssal to 100%, but still no Protean Obelisk on Talis Fia.

Hopefully will get patched at some point. Not getting my hopes up though.
