Normally just get relatively close and keep shooting, and easy dodge most of her attacks and take her AOE attack like a man.

Why the hell can they 1 shot ANYTHING from max hp. On gold I was playing Krogan sentinel and it literally charged next to me and I didn't have more then half a second to move before it grabbed me.
I can't play random enemies anymore because banshee's just ruin everything.

"WREEEE!"
"Oh God RUN!"
"WREEEE!"...."Squad mate down"
"WREEEE!"...."Squad mate needs help"
"WREEEE!"...."Squad mate in trouble"
"WREEEE!"
Get out missile launcher...close eyes..."WREEEE!"
-BOOM-
"Top marks team."

Atleast my did...until the whole relock thing happened, now I miss my Krogan terribly haha.
I miss being able to charge into a group of enemies, banshee and all, and just one hit all but the bigger enemies haha..and most cases able to soak up the damage, and get out of there with half life still.

I totally forgot a lot of enemies were not in the demo. They charge....

But if you do stay alert, you can even biotic charge them IF you move away immediately. I haven't played against that many of them yet, but I seem to be able to do this consistently.

I found that a Krogan Soldier built for rage, damage reduction and melee work fairly well against them.

Krogan at full Health/Shield can get killed instantly by banshees.

I quite like banshees. It's a cool enemy and very dangerous if you don't keep track of them constantly.

no, you can't. I tried that on my asari vanguard, grabed me right out of charge.

Biotic charge them when they decide to use their ranged attack or do their AoE scream. Good time to get a nova or two in.

I still don't know how to deal with brutes and banshees, other than shoot ALL the bullets and hope it actually dies...
I've actually had allot of luck agianst them with my quarian engineer. A fully leveled up turret with rockets + the grenade launcher assualt rifle makes for a great combo agianst her.
The rule of thumb I've found is...
A. Stay in an open area
B. Kill the brutes first
Still the hardest enemy in multiplayer imo.

This has been pretty devastating on Silver.

Anecdotally, people on public multiplayer seem to be less willing to use the missile launcher against banshees than against the Atlas mechs, despite the fact that they're about equally hard to kill, and banshees are significantly more dangerous.

That's because blowing up a mech with a missle launcher looks so much cooler
I haven't played silver or gold yet, so I haven't even used a missle launcher yet.

It's more due to the fact people saving up for spectre pack and not having missiles.

In fact, they are pretty hard to hit with the rocket launcher. Most of the time, they just blink right away (or i'm unlucky/bad ^^').
I'm playing mostly silver, and tbh, if i face reapers, and wave 10 is a pirating mission (standing still at a point... yeah, right !) ==> never make it so far.... Most of the time, 2 banshees and one brute are good enough to wipe the whole team before you can pull out the damn missile launcher... On long map, without pirating mission, you can take them down easily with Drell adept : kitte them all the way, spam reave, abuse your movement speed, grenade frag when they come too close. Worked fine for me.
I feel like reapers are really the most dangerous faction so far, since geths and cerberus are no big deal (in silver, havn't tried gold yet). Speaking of gold, can't imagine facing reapers, on a short/indoor map

1) Rolling backwards at the moment she tries to charge towards you in a endless loop around the map -- best to find a square area & to know the map well... i.e: don't try to roll backwards onto a wall. Meaning: banshee charge, roll back, banshee charge, roll back some more, etc.
When she pauses briefly or stands still, SHOOT ALL HELL & SPAM POWERS
OR...
2) Find a long straight path. Go to one end, Banshee starts charging towards you. When she gets closer, RUN past her in the midst of her next charge, or when she's standing still or prepping her biotic blast or whatever
When she pauses briefly or stands still,... well, you know.
... assuming there aren't 10 other Reapers around you. Other banshees included.

Turian reaper is somewhat annoying as well, sometimes when they are unharmed I shoot right into their face and they just dont die other times they do. Strange behaviour.
