 I unlocked a Quarian Infiltrator from my first starter pack. Then when I opened another pack I unlocked an Asari vanguard but suddenly my Quarian Inflitrator is "locked". I have the character currently selected but I fear that if I change my character I will be unable to play my inflitrator again.
Is this some sort of odd glitch?
Does anyone know a way to fix this?
(I tried to take a screen shot through print screen but it just comes out black)

This happened to me as well, probably at the same time as you. I have no idea why, but I lost a lot of stuff unlocked with Bioware points. I'm going to try to contact support.

I'd love to know if you get anywhere with them, I keep buying packs with credit in hopes that I can reunlock my infiltrator but so far no dice.

I unlocked the Quarian Infiltrator in a Veteran Pack and I am also having this issue. I also can no longer access my Incisor sniper rifle (don't care about that) and my sniper rifle ammo capacity upgrade is no longer functioning and I cannot remove it from my weapon, though it shows up graphically.

Edit: I tried contacting EA Game Advisors and they were entirely unhelpful. One of them said I needed to contact BioWare support, but as far as I can tell that just directs back to EA. Is there a way to contact BioWare about this?

Apparently they made some changes to the server, check back tomorrow and see if they are still gone.

 I just lost a few characters and weapons/mods as well. Really disappointed, I was loving my drell adept, then i swtiched over to my infiltrator, and now my drell adept is locked. The tunny thing is that i still am level 6 as adept, even though the only adept ive played is now locked and creating a human adept is like creating a new character. Really hope this gets fixed, I'm afraid whatever I unlock is just gonna get taken away again.

In a different issue, the turian sentinel unlocked for me, randomly because he wasn't in a pack

Some thing similar happened to me. After failing a mission, the Welcome to N7 Ops screen showed up, like it was the 1st time i was joining the multiplayer. After pressing Continue, the Store screen pops up with my Starter and BF3 (digital deluxe edition) packs in there again. Three seconds after that, the game crashed to desktop. I start the game again and join the multiplayer to check the Store, and noticed my preciously unlocked weapons and items/mods were gone, aswell my BF3 Soldier character. I accessed the store to get my starter and bf3 pack again and confirmed i had no other weaps/items but the ones we start with.
But when i jumped on my Enginner, which was using a weapon i had unlocked before the glitch, i could notice he was still using it! The weapon wasnt available when i checked before joining a game, but the char still had it. After the match ended, i unequiped the weapon and could not equip it again.
So ye... something has happened.

I finally managed to reunlock my Quarian Infiltrator after playing tons and tons of silver maps and buying a crap load of 5,000 credit packs.

Bumping this topic. Just happened to me when I dinged 20 on my first MP character. All my races/new weapons all went up in a puff of smoke. The only thing that stayed surprisingly was the XP my characters had earned via the packs.

Edit: PC version as well.

I just lost all my items and class unlocks on PC, I have been playing since launch and gotten a lot of spectre packs both with credits and $10 worth of bioware points.

I have to say it really is disappointing and put off my friends and I from playing any further for now since there seems to be the risk of this happening to anyone.

After we beat a round this is what happened:

It took all my items/classes and gave me the starter/bf3 packs again.

Seems like a pretty serious bug to me.

Just lost everything i unlocked till now. I'm on the xbox.

I've brought several Spectre packs with MS points but even the stuff i got with battle money is gone too.

It was 17:30 (HK time) i think and there was an incident where when i entered a battle I didn't have my usual number of ammo, and i thought that's weird. Then our team died and after loading the Welcome to multiplayer screen appeared again out of nowhere.

Next, the battle summary menu is displayed overlapping with the normal character lobby menu, plus it seemed to think I have the starter pack again, seeing no other way to leave this state i open the pack, then press B to return.

And everything disappeared once the menu goes back to normal.

My char xp stayed but all my fun toys didn't. Hope this gets addressed soon and we either get our points/money back or the items go back into the accounts.

The exact same thing just happened to me.  Lost a kick ass rare pistol I bought with Bioware points...

Is this primarily occurring for PC users?

Because, yeah. I'd like to avoid this, if at all possible.
To everyone losing stuff: sympathies. That really sucks. Any update at all on this from Bioware would be massively appreciated.

Round successfully ended and I got the picture I linked (http://i.imgur.com/h6xVU.jpg), end game score chart but with the Welcome to N7 overlaid over it.

Can you detail what we should do as far as reimbursements? Will this be something that we can get our items back or at least our credits back? And our BioWare points?

I also was wondering what will happen if we continue to play even if we lost all our items?  Will we lose all our progress since it was reset?

Exact same thing happened to me as well. I also lost two weapons, though I'm not sure if it was at the same time. Mods, weapon upgrades and other unlocks are still there.

Is this only happening to people with the BF3 pack? Multiple people reporting this seem to mention BF3 pack unlocking over again, and then they lose everything; and so far no one complaining about PS3, and PS3 doesn't have the BF3 pack.

Maybe it keeps checking for BF3 pack unlock periodically, and after every confirmation, it thinks you're logging in for the first time (again) ??

I have BF3 bought through origin; I'll report back if I keep losing items and getting the BF3 pack screen multiple times.. But have to wait for EU release first ^^
