Has this issue been resolved, or is there a known cause yet? I have put at least 40 hours into multiplayer and do not want to be reset.

It happened to me on release date. After I saw on the forums that you shouldn't click the Store button when you are set to ready, I haven't had the problem since.

I had a habit of clicking the Store while Ready during the Demo, so maybe that is the solution.

It is very bad, as I have understood who pressed not so have lost the points and as if are guilty, though players have committed an error not, and developers, and it nothing us won't return because ourselves are guilty:D
I why wouldn't remember that that warned us about the such.
And now if you have pressed that you are ready it is impossible to press shop, all right it is clear.
But that that I have lost 180 000 credits, and have spent all the day, and this day was release, it nothing me won't return, or nevertheless will take into consideration that I nevertheless have wasted time, and have not too easily saved up them.
I wait for the distinct answer.
Thanks for attention also I apologize for the English, and I understand that at you many affairs, therefore not in which case you I do not hurry :)

This might have gone smoother if Bioware had their own support and we didnt have to go through EA and have to deal with people who have no idea what they are doing.

I just had the multiplayer glitch which wipes all of your unlocks happen to me.  It seemed to happen after I had already clicked "ready" to begin game, but while waiting for others to click ready, I clicked on the store button by mistake.  While I was in the store, the game started.  After the game finished, the "welcome to N7" screen appeared (just like when you try multiplayer for the first time).  My Battlefield 3 soldier is gone, but the pack to unlock him is back.  It seems that the bug resets your multiplayer account back to when you first start.  However, the default male/female characters of each class are still able to level up to where I had previously had them.  And the last character I used, an Asari Adept level 18, is still available for me to play, even though on the unlock screen she is not unlocked.  I hope this description helps to fix this bug.  It stinks having everything wiped =(

Hi i also had that bug before 6 hours ago. It also affects the singleplayer! My Shepard character went from lvl 51 to lvl 1. This is a bad joke.

Yep, definitely just lost all my unlocks about an hour ago. I was playing my asari vanguard at the time, so she's still playable. However, if I go to change characters, everything is back to the default locks. It seems like I'll be able to keep playing the asari so long as I dont character switch. I've still got my gunsmith achievement, but all the weapons and mods are definitely gone.
It sucks to pay extra money for a product and then have it vanish =\\

PC user 160 BW points spent on a Spectre (plus another Spectre bought with credits), not sure what i was doing, think we lost a round, lvl 17 Asari Adept, which i can still use if i dont change class...have BF3 pack....luckily i was doing the stasis/sniper thing with a Mantis so my gameplay hasnt changed...

Same here is there any bioware guys here going to reimburse us for our losses? I mean i had $30 of bioware points left over and used em for the game so anyway to speed up this fix for all of us that got screwed?

To me (and I'm not expert), some of this sounds like it could be fixed relatively easily. If you click ready and then try to change characters, it takes off your "ready" status. Why not make it so that going to the store does the same thing. If they can do it for the character change screen, why not the store?

This also happened to me this past Friday.
While in the lobby people were taking their time 'Ready'ing up so I decided to visit the store... because it's an option that is given to you. My lobby readied and the game started while I was in the store (of course now I know that's a bad thing).
While in game, all of my items were missing which was extremely strange to me. After the mission I got the same N7 screen everyone is getting and all of my items are lost.
If I didn't use Microsoft points to buy 'Spectre Packs' - I think I could get over the fact that I lost all my weapons and unlocks... maybe. 
I am very unhappy that there has not been updates on this issue for a few days now. 
What BioWare SHOULD do is give us the packs that we have purchased with Microsoft points and in game currency. I would be okay with that.

This makes sense now.. I was wondering how people got unlocked... and then I bought a pack, and got a girl, I didn't know what that was all about.. went to my character select screen.. and there was nothing new I could choose... Get a new character, and right away wasn't able to select lol

So, EA support chat told me to post in here. Sadly, it doesn't look like it's been resolved.

I'm playing on PC.

This happened to me last night. I just got to lv 20 with my Vanguard, got the message about promoting, and suddenly I got a second Starter Pack. Perhaps it was foolish of me, but I opened it and got some stuff --and lost everything else.

Goodbye, Quarian Infiltrator, Asari Vanguard, Krogan Sentinel, and my pile of items and weapons... at least the second starter pack gave me a Scimitar.

Posting here to make myself feel better. Spent an embarassing ammount of cash on bioware points on this incredibly fun multiplayer, plus hundreds of thousands of credits. I sincerely hope this is worked out soon, for this is just obscene.
