Anyone else have an issue with not choosing to free the captive for Aria?  I chose not to release her, and it looks like there might be another method but the mission summary never changes and the Bailey assistant won't chat anymore and Bailey seems to think i haven't talked to the assistant yet.

Ideas?

Nevermind, mission information never updates to anything different. You need to explore more on your own to discover it. Found Sayn on the station in another area.

Yeah, it's bad that missions don't update like they used to in ME1 and 2. You just get the starting description and if you're lost... "tough luck". :(

And quests not updating this is starting to ****** me off. I am fine with a game not holding my hand but there is a minimum.

Or use Google lol i had to do that to finish the blue sun segment of the mission.

I also spent 90 minutes in a specific area of the citadel trying to find Matriach Atheyta only to discover she shows up a bit later.

And a free tip when you get the email from the spectre asking to meet on the citadel, the map marker puts him in entirley the wrong place from his actual location. 30 minutes i spent trying to find him where the map said he was before i gave up and decided to go and speak to Bailey re the eclipse mission...and then found the spectre.

Salarians in the embassy lounge must have thought i was a stalker

I am having so much trouble with Aria's mission because the quest log won't update and I can't get proper direction. It's highly frustrating to have to walk around the Citadel in grid-esque fashion in the hopes of running into whom/what I require simply because I am not psychic and cannot predict the plot.

If I can't get updates, then at least let me get info indirectly from the Avinas or *something*, damn.

If you guys are stuck on any Citadel missions, try looking at your map. We marked plot-important items and NPCs on it, and you can flip back and forth between maps on the GUI to check if what you need is in another area without loading it up first.

(Can't remember off the top of my head if we marked off Sayn on the map in this case - I believe we did, but I can't swear to it.)

You did.  He is marked in the Dock.

I am having the same problem. The guy said he'd take over and now Aria still wants me to talk to Bailey, who no longers cares about this issue.

Took me forever to find the guy too. But I found him.

After I talked to him and convinced him to lead, all I did was step through the security scanner on the docks holding bay level, and then Bailey calls me about how the order for Sederis' release has been rescinded by the Council. And that's it, doneski. Go to Aria afterwards for some extra conversations about how utterly malleable the new guy is, but I don't think it's completely necessary.

Rkahn, that is my exact case. walking through the scanners multiple times have not triggered a response. If this doesn't get resolved, I will not fight the reapers.

Yeah I spoke to the guy, and I can go back and fourth through the scanner and nothing useful happens.

I even went back 8 hours of playtime to before I started the entire Aria quest series, tried again, and it still won't let me update after speaking to Sayn.

Same problem here. Talked to Sayn, convinced him to take over the Eclipse, nadda. No messages from Bailey, no change between his dialogue and his assistant's lack thereof. I feel like I'm caught in a Singularity here.

I'm also having the same problem too. I did the Eclipse one second so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it too. But I talked to Sayn and when I see Bailey he still tells me to let him know how it goes with Sedaris.

I don't want to loose resources but it doesn't seem like it can be finished. :(

I'm stuck on this right now. I completed the other merc groups but this eclipse one is driving me nuts.

Aria tells me to go to Bailey
Bailey tells me to go to the presidium and speak with sederis
I speak with sederis
After, i convince the other guy to take over as new leader
I go back to bailey, bailey tells me to tell him when i speak with sederis
I go back to Aria, she tells me to speak to bailey
I go back to bailey, bailey tells me to tell him when i speak with sederis
Go back to presidium, option to speak to sederis isn't there anymore because i already spoke to sederis and convinced the 2nd in command to take over

Am I missing something?

You've double checked everyone but Sayn. Might as well check with him again.

Yeah, did the same thing as erikage. I think it's bugged, because the salarian 2nd in command definitely said that he would talk to aria about taking over, but aria keeps telling me to let seders out of prison (which I can't do because I can't talk with her or bailey anymore)
