Here's the XML report generated by the ME3 Configuration utility:
https://gist.github....674a746808cdbec

Basic information:
Intel® Core™ i7 CPU X 980 @ 3.33GHz
Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit)

Current situation:

I have downloaded the following:
  • N7 Collector's Edition Materials
  • Mass Effect 3 Soundtrack
  • From Ashes
  • Digital Artbooks
Upon launching the
N7 Collector's Edition Materials, it creates a process for "MassEffect3.exe *32" - which stays open for about two seconds then terminates.

I have tried repairing the
N7 Collector's Edition Materials as well as uninstalling the Origin Client and reinstalling it as a fresh download from the main site.

I have tried launching the N7 Collector's Edition Materials from the shortcut as well as the Origin Client.
I have repaired all items.
I have attempted to run updates on all items.
I have uninstalled the client and reinstalled the client multiple times, as well as trying to run the
N7 Collector's Edition Materials outside of the client.

The only thing I have got to work so far is the Configuration Utility.

I'd like to open the floor to people who have experience in troubleshooting or an official support tech/developer who would like to comment on this.

I understand that there are hiccups in all deployments. But this appears to be a big hiccups,  64 bit Windows 7 install should run just fine.

I see that other threads exist for this, but I'm hoping to be able to give as much detail to a tech as possible without additional noise.

Here is additional data from the Origin Client log files:
https://gist.github....c569af5ff2825b7

I second all the above.

I can also add that I have the european edition that should have activate on March 8th, but still passed the activation today.

I'm taking a look at the Origin log files to see if I can see any more obvious data.

Right now, from here:
C:\\Users\\All Users\\Origin\\Logs\\Client_Log.html

I see this:

I've gotten it working...

I started killing processes and disabling services to see if there was a conflict.
I'm not exactly sure what I disabled that fixed it, I am trying to break it again to prove that this was related.

I had made sure DirectX was up to date (it was).
I made sure any 3D settings I had were set to performance (just in case).
I messed with administration permissions and compatibility mode on the desktop links.

In the end - this may have to do with a conflict of ports or services.

Any update on this issue? I'm having the same problem. I assumed it was a problem with the time checker. If I right click and update the file it tells me there is a 40 mb patch. It downloads that, and the next time I try and launch it runs the date check again. Then cannot load. I can keep going back and forth between the two. Any idea?

I've checked on a couple other forums and this seems to be a repeating issue.

emorling: it sounds like your issue might be slightly different than the one I had.

You should post your log information in a new thread and see if it can help. Provide the techs as much data as possible.

I am unable to "break" my install again. It appears to be working fine now.

I'm having a problem which sounds about the same. Game doesn't launch. Nothing seems to be happening but when I check the task manger it tells me the game is running.

Windows 7 64bit
Intel® Core™ i7-2600K CPU @ 3.40GHz
RAM: 16GB

If it were not for the fact that I can play happpily SWTOR for however many weeks it takes to fix this, I would be in full anger mode for having to stare at an icon on my desk top everyday representing $75.00 of non-operative software.

I'm having the same issue as the original poster and I've done everything he has in order to try and correct the issue but nothing seems to work. Can someone explain to me where I can find the reports and log files that he used? Words alone can't even begin to describe how infuriated I am at the moment.

Windows 7 64-bit
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.00 GHz
RAM 4.00 GB

I am also having this issue, though I have the N7 Collector's Edition on disc.  I do not receive any error message at all.  The game says that it is launching, the little wheel spins for 2-3 seconds, and then nothing at all happens.  These are the things I have tried:
Uninstalling and reinstalling from disc (3 times).
DLing and installing the game files from Origin (1 time)
Repairing the installation of ME3 and all extra installations that come with the CE.
Uninstalling and reinstalling the Origin client (half a dozen times)
Trying to launch from: Origin, Start Menu, EA folder, Desktop
Running both Origin and ME3 as administrator
Rebooting system

I have Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium Edition

Here's my xml report from the config utility (which is also the only thing I've managed to successfully run so far) - sorry it's not in a pretty link like the OP's, but I don't know how to do that. :)

Same issue as OP. Done everything listed... MassEffect3.exe *32 stays in task manager and will not end task. I have to manually turn off my computer for it to shut down. Sometimes if I spam it, it'll say it wasnt installed correctly, or the logs will randomly say:

[4068] GetAssociatedLocale couldn't find one associated for the content item: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:;OFB-MASS:46033 ... Possibly due to Origin being uninstalled/reinstalled mid-download...getting general

I did Uninstall and Reinstall mid-download but only because origin was having the same problem as my masseffect3.exe and sticking in task manager. I had to find a working Origin version. I might try a 7th uninstall after I manually reboot.
