I am going to buy mass effect 1, 2 and all the DLC's for both games. When I get mass effect 1 and beat it I will Import my character to Mass effect 2. In doing this the question comes in. Since I got Mass Effect 2 Genesis Will Genesis overwright what I did in mass effect 1? How does Mass effect 2 Genesis work If I want to Import my Mass Effect 1 Save file to Mass effect 3.

No, what happens is that instead of choosing the multiple choices in Genesis, it will just follow the story based on your decisions from ME 1. The only thing I noticed that it would still ask me to choose is who you choose to be the human representative at the end of ME 1.

The "export" save for Mass Effect is created before the decision occurs in-game, necessitating the question in Mass Effect 2.
