Are the current DLC releases what we can expect in the future?

I personally thought that both the stone prisoner and wardens keep were both of very high quality, and both of satisfactory length for what was paid, (although i did get stone prisoner free) but wardens keep was a great content pack with great cutscenes and story lines, i think the armour set is one of the best looking in the game and the ability to craft that great sword is cool to, and the little secret.

I was hoping that we would be giving a few more hints as to waht to expect from forthcoming DLC, etc you get to go to a new area called ?? or there will be new characters abilities spells etc coming in future DLC maybe another new character. You dont have to give us time lines or specifics but knowing what type of things you are currently working on would be great.  I for one love the DLC and will buying return to ostagar the day it comes out, hopefully video will be posted soon.

Keep up the excellent work bioware and i think all the pots i have seen have been well mannered and very professional :-)

As long as it does involve at least 10 to 15 hours gameplay for a reasonable cost in points then I guess I am ok with it, disappointed about the first DLC though, too high a price to pay for too little in return, just my 5cents to everything.

TBH Warden's Keep has a very good plot and a nice history lesson. What more could you ask? Its better to have a very good story/lore than aimlessly fighting monsters and critters like some of the people i think they want.

I have been playing RPG's for nearly 25 years, starting with Final Fantasy and Ultima on the NES. DAO is definitely by far one of the best games I have ever played, possibly the best. It also has unlimited potential as far as DLC and sequels go (and maybe MMO?). I have personally enjoyed the DLC so far, and will continue to pay for more. I do agree they seem a bit short, however that being said, the quality of the storylines are incredible. Hats off to the developers/writers.

I too would like to see some longer expansions, as I am the grinder-type of player.  I do enjoy quality over quantity though. Keep up the fantastic work Bioware -you have set the bar pretty high now and I will continue to expect such high quality products from you in the future!

I don't get all the ****ing. We never seem to be happy with anything.

Bioware could have just released the game and let us without anything else. Then we would have ****ed about how Bioware doesn't care and wagh wagh wagh.

Now that they are working in DLCs to extend the game in awesome ways we **** because we want them for free? It's 4 freaking dollars, people.

If you want free content, then go and download mods, don't "waste" your money in buying a DLC and please, dont waste your time ****ing here, because, honestly, some of us are THRILLED that Bioware is spending time creating more content, and further, some of us are THRILLED that they are doing so regularly with DLCs instead of a big expansion in 3 years.

It just seem some people are never happy with anything...

Oh, and btw, I read some pages ago about the L4D thing. I played L4D since it was released, now I spent an extra 35 euros for L4D2 and let me tell you, they were well spent. So who cares about the boycotters, they're just bitter people who ultimately ended up without playing a great game :-p

So, anyways, keep it up, Bioware! :-)

Oh, the only thing I would ask is that you may give us what ideas you have for DLCs, just in case someone starts working on a mod and a month later we get a DLC that does the same as in the mod... then the mod would go to waste... So... if you are making an Alistair extended romance, this is the time to say it (don't need any details, just to know) :-p

I'm of the school that think an excellent idea for DLC is to start a new campaign. Wich would be devided into episodic content. Each ending with a plot twist or cliffhanger. To keep players wanting to play the next part.

Then once all parts are released as DLC you can pack them together and sell as a retail expansion.

My only complaint with regards to the DLC released so far is that their price does not reflect their length. I paid $60 for a 60 hour game ( a dollar an hour roughly ) and $7 for a 1 hour DLC (7 dollars an hour roughly).

I don't think you can say this enough times. That comment you where replying to is a very good example of Wild Accusations and displays of foot stomping that defies any rational explanation.

Accusing whomever you don't agree with of being a conspiracy theorist doesn't validate your point in any way. Refer to my previous post (which you conveniently ignored) for my stance on that. As far as rationality goes, common sense dictates that veteran developers like Bioware don't just "forget" to add something as basic as a storage chest, even if that is indeed the claim they make. It also doesn't seem particularly rational to expect that not a single tester at some point requested some manner of permanent party inventory dump associated with the camp to store items for later use, and further that Bioware would flat-out refuse to add that once made aware. That is, of course, unless they had an Infinity Ward moment ("it's not balanced for storage!").

I think people are very impressed by the great value of Dragon Age: Origins the main game itself in terms of length and quality. Most of us bothering to post here would make the purchase again.

All of the DLC so far (and by first impressions, Return to Ostagar) are not going to live up to that high standard in terms of value.

I'm sure they have plans for longer content additions, hopefully more substantial additions, but it's obvious that the smaller/cheaper ones are going to be easier to get out the door. There's a lot of excitement for Dragon Age right now, and I think they're going to sell a lot of these first two (Warden's Keep & Return to Ostagar) on the basis of the main game itself.

Personally I haven't bought them yet but probably will, but I almost see it as a 'supporting Dao dlc' rather than a good value purchase.

I'm sure Bioware knows that they can't release only 1hr or less additions and keep people interested forever.

If you build it, Bioware, I will come. And for those of complaining about price gouging, don't buy the new releases.
