Is it the Priority missions or the other side missions?

I haven't progressed that much or missed any missions yet, but I think the side missions would be "timed". I try to do them before I go to a priority mission, because priority missions advance the main plot and could potentially "lock" previous side missions?

I haven't progresses much myself, but so far, I'm of the same opinion as Ghost Rider. It is quite clear that priority missions advance the plot and potentially open up new locations, so it would be wise to wrap up any side missions before attempting them, otherwise I can easily see someone getting swarmed with missions. If there is indeed a time limit on priority missions (other than side missions that is), I would personally be pissed, since as a "completionist", I usually like to do everything.

Priority missions are hopefully not timed, else we wouldn't be able to advance the plot. :P

Do those timed missions make it clear they are timed and how much time we have to complete them?

It sucks that there's no indicator. Just got a quest to investigate Grisshom. It sounds like it would be timed. But it also sounds like a big quest, not one of those raids on Cerberus bases.

So it's making me paranoid.

I'd really like to know just how much Priority I should assign to missions labelled "Priority". I have two of them now, on Eden Prime and on Palaven, and a bunch of side missions. Will doing them in wrong order bring about disastrous consequences?

"Priority" just means they're the main quest missions. It's counter intuitive, but they're the ones that wait for you.

As I understand it, Priority missions advance the plot and so don't expire. But side quests, if you don't do them soon after acquiring them, will eventually expire and can no longer be completed... This is only what I've read in a few other posts, not something I can personally confirm. But as a completionist, it was enough to inspire me to go do side quests immediately upon receiving them, just to be safe.

Priority missions are not timed.

Certain missions may be locked out after a point in the story, i.e., Kelly Chambers and Aria's assignments on the Citadel are locked post-Coup.

Assignments that are given to you by Samantha *ARE* timed. Example: Grissom Academy, the runaway Cerberus Scientists. These are best completed within one or two missions of being revealed. After an uncertain duration of time, these quests will resolve themselves sometimes with dire consequences.

It is unclear to me whether or not missions offered by temporary members aboard the Normandy (i.e., the quest you get from Primarch Victus to save his son, the quest you get from Tali to rescue the Admiral, etc., etc.) have a timer. I completed many of these missions just after completing the missions I'd gotten from Sam.

N7 missions do not have any sort of timer and should be completed last.

Anyone else have any idea on a tentative list of what's time or not?

I noticed that anything involving the citadel (meeting old squaddies/fetch quests) will expire after the priority mission on Tuchanka. Kind of a pain because there seems to be a lot of them that I inadvertently miss because I don't often stand and eavesdrop on the conversations of every NPC.

Follow the standard mission/quest strategy for Bioware games here. Do all side missions first, turn in, then do the main story missions to advance the plot. Once side quests start opening again, put main story missions on hold until you've cleared your log of everything else. Repeat until end game. You won't miss anything this way

Off the top of my head, these missions will expire after completing a few (three, I think) missions that are NOT marked as priority. People should already be aware that priority missions can (but do not always) end missions.

1. Tuchanka: Bomb. While the previous one (Tuchanka: Turian Platoon) is NOT timed - it stays until you do the Genophage cure mission - this one is.
2. Rannoch: Admiral Koris.
3. Rannoch: Geth Fighter Squadros. I think that both of the Rannoch quests are, but the final one where you take out the reaper is NOT timed. I don't know if the order you do these two in matters.

I don't believe any of the missions that involve non-party ME2 members are timed, although they can be marked as failed with completion of a priority mission. The same applies for N7 missions.

^The Rannoch ones only expire after Priority Rannoch
Grissom is timed and though hard should be done ASAP after getting Garrus
N7: Cerberus Abductions, N7: Cerberus Lab and N7: Cerberus Attack all relate to Citadel side quests so you should do them before Tuchanka
