i think what bioware was trying to do was giving you the choices in ME1 and ME2 and summing up all those choices in ME3. I guess the choices in ME3 depend on what ending you will get?

I havent played the game yet, (uk suppliers are falling all over the place)

My judgment so far:
MASS EFFECT 3 is truly an ending to the trilogy.
The music, the drama, the action, all that happened in game so far is one of the best thing I have seen.
This is truly and action RPG, while ME2 lacked the RPG elements ME 3 delivers what was demanded!

I am proud of BioWare for their tough decisions about the story.

Props for you BioWare, GOTY!

I have pretty much given up on predicting "how long a RPG" is since the days of Planescape:Torment.

Hell, in another thread on BSN only yesterday, one poster said it took him 72 hours to complete 100% ME2.

On insanity, doing ALL of the DLC (except for Arrival - no companions, no cash Bioware), it only took me 38 hours for 100% completion.

Hell, I've seen MULTIPLE posters mention they've completed ME 2 with 95%+ completion in under 20 hours ...ON INSANITY.

Really, completion times are a crapshoot..

I'll reserve judgements for the full game, but I will say this; It's better to expect a piece of **** and just get a cheese sandwich rather than expecting the second coming.

So the terrible FoV (which isn't adjustable, by the way), the horrendous texture work (which is a joke, especially on PC, yeah I'm really sure I'm being held back by my 16GB of dedicated system RAM and 3GB of VRAM), the ridiculess animation (as someone pointed out, it looks as if a 1st year animation student did the animation), the compeltely wooden voice acting (and crap lip syncing to boot), as well as the auto-pilot dialogue choices (i.e. sod all choice available), not to mention the broken import system ("B-B-BUT MASS EFFECT 3 IS THE PERFECT GAME IN THE TRILOGY TO START" [yeah that makes loads of god damned sense by the way, guess we should all watch Return of the King before The Fellowship of the Ring, right?]), as well as the rubbish sound design (the guns sound like they're firing jelly, well done).

Oh, and the fact they couldn't be bothered to map some different keys so not everything is done on the space bar.

And the fact that you need to play MP before you can reasonably enjoy a "good" ending.

Not to mention that terrible, terrible ending.

I mean all you need to know is that: (I changed my opinion dramaticaly after playing the game and I regret that I was posting the statements before playing it myself)

+ Atmosphere and the gameplay experience is awesome. Bioware was true when they said that  they will cut the perm squad by half but the emotional connections with the squad which they promised are so there and  some conversations with them are mindblowing.

+ Decisions matter... without spoiling anything. Some decisions have drastic or surprising outcome (you wanna replay to see both or at least reload XD). They are awesome. However I didnt import my shep so the true differences will be probably seen in my second playthrough as stated by Chris.

+Gameplay is more flexible(omniblade ftw).

+ Writting...one word: wow. The sidemission dont feel like in ME2. However not everything was so wow but cant say it withough spoiling.

+I didnt play From Ashes DLC yet which could add to the game.

However:

- auto dialogues ...okay its a bit too much but what shephards says is awesome and epic.

- Ending could be disappointing for some like it was for me without playing the game and better understanding ( I saw only ending videos before playing the game

- The only opinion I didnt change is DLC. Dont get me wrong I have nothing against day one DLC or paying for DLC. In fact I will pay gladly but DLC that not all people are able to get their hands on? (figures, art books and my personal favourite San Diegos three DLC items for DAII giveaway). Sorry I cant agree with that. We should have same options.

All things that concerned me are in my spoiler topic (find it on my profile if you want but beware ending spoilers)
However I posted a theory there that if true could do some damage control for people who arent satysfied with ending.

Where you say 'the ending could be disappointing for some like me without playing the game and better understanding', that's good. I was one of the ones saying they're lacking the context that would be provided by playing the entire game.
