When I start the game, there is no menu option to allow me to download content within the game. The ingame advertising says there is new content (Ashes DLC) but there is no option to get to it. The manual and both BioWare and EA web sites say I must download through the game, but the option is not there.
No Download Content option on main menu

I had the same issue when playing last night. I had to disable the Origin overlay to be able to start the game without crashing if that makes a difference.

Where do I buy the code though (I didn’t buy the collectors/deluxe edition)? On the Bioware DLC website it says to buy it in-game, but there’s no option for that in-game. I also searched the Origin store and it’s not listed there.

Thanks all for the responses.
@ Descedent: There is not menu item for me to even start the entering the code process. If I go to bioware social or origin to try to get the DLC, they say "Go to the 'Download Content' option of your main menu ingame" which does not exist for me (or for Promli, apparently).
@ Horizon011: Yep. lol
@ Promli: I have a ticket in with EA about this. When I get a fix, I will let you know.

@S.DeMarche
Did you ever get a solution from EA? I've got the same issue as you.

@DaveJ100: No, I have not yet received a solution. Each time I tell EA that my problem is that there is no menu item, they respond with a solution to a related problem.
When I get an actual solution, I 'll let you know.

You buy it in Origin.
Right click your Mass Effect in Origin then Game Details. Top right corner of the Info box will have a tab "Shop for Add Ons"
That is how I purchased mine.
See this thread for more info

@LT.INSTG8R
Thanks for pointing me to that thread that has solved my problem.
The reason for the missing 'Downloadable Content' menu option within the game was down to an Origin setting. For anyone else with the issue go to your settings in Origin, then select the 'In-game' tab and tick the option to 'Enable Origin in game'. Now the 'Downloadable Content' menu option appears.
Finally I can buy the DLC!
Someone should tell EA support how their software works since they couldn't help S.DeMarche

You are awesome! Thank you so much for the fix. I have passed the info on to EA support, hopefully it will help the next person.
Of course, now I have to play ME3 again, since I have new content. Darn...

Yep, I have that issue now, too. Weird. Thanks for the fix, though!
