After 5 years of loving this series...this is how it ends. With me absolutely HATING the third game and wishing I had never even bought Mass Effect. The fact that I invested all that time and came to care about these characters, all for it to end the way it did is just an extra punch in the gut.

Thanks for effectively removing the ability to control most of what my Shepard says.

Thanks for turning the combat system into Gears of War Lite.

Thanks for having a couple different small variations on the same ending for us to choose.

Thanks for making every relationship formed with a character over the years utterly pointless.

Could you expand on your objection to the combat? In the demo, I thought that was an improvement, and not overly different from ME3

Thank you. I get annoyed by the idea of people thinking you're a "troll" or a "hater" if you don't like a game. Do you think I wanted to hate this game? I loved Mass Effect. I loved Mass Effect 2 despite some of the gripes people had about it.

I was so pumped over the last couple years about being able to end this story. I would have been fine with a "downer" ending. I can't be happy about a series that was ALL about choices, at least in it's marketing, ending in a way that gives you barely any choice at all.

Apart frim XIII-2 I havent actually seen any downer endings in a good long while.

Aaaaaand stuff like this is why ME3 will be the first time I will NOT pay for a Bioware game. Tye last time I did, I got treated to recycled dungeons and a bunch of decisions that didn't matter in the end (mages, templars, gotta fight em all aaaaaanyway). I figured the same would happen to ME as well, so I'm gonna borrow it from a friend, play it on console, and really cement my will to never play anything from modern Bioware again.
