I loving every moment of the SP. And I was not really expecting this but after the last line of the Turian Councilor at Udina s Office, my eyes went all wet somehow. (manly tears, ya hear me!). This is just the begining of my epic journey, even if the destination can be not so epic for all the players, I am starting to think it will not bother me so much.

Congratz BW. And thanks for letting old ME players with imported chars not needing to suffer Action/RPG/Story mode choice. I am assuming that imported Shepards get only Mass Effect Mode! =) I did not know that the new modes would be available only to new players or new characters. (just guessing here since I will not be checking on that for a long while, with many full ME1&2 Sheps to import.)

PS.: Origin does not let me use any type of punctuation marks while alt-tabbing from the game, so no contractions here because it would look weird. =)

You can set them to action or story mode if you so desire in the game options.

Nope, I cannot. Not with my imported Shepard. We can set Narrative and Difficulty options but there is not an option for those 3 Modes on my ME3! =P

There are narrative options as well. The RPG/Action/Story Modes just pick them for you depending on what you.

Well the story so far isn't really doing it for me.

Played until I talked to Udina... For now, I'm don't feel like I felt in the first 2.
As I said to my friend DragonRageGT, gonna do a speedrun of ME2 to import a "flawless" Shepard into ME3. So I can be sure I did everything right to get the "best possible outcome".

"Flawless Victory!" - as Shao Kahn from Mortal Kombat would say.

Anyways I'm loving how the squadmates are more interactive and have deeper story lines than in ME2. Also, the RPG aspects have improved dramatically.

I totally agree. It feels more immersive than ever before, to me.

Just see the ending by yourself and try consoling yourself in denial again ;)

The story is definitely falling flat for me. It seems like huge pieces of the story are just missing.

Not to mention how a lot of things feel forced...
By doing all those cut scenes and auto dialogues...
Do they really make that much more if they appeal to new players rather than keeping the fan base while absorbing new players...?

Why does enjoying the game automatically equal denial?  I'm having fun so far.  The amount of auto dialog kind of bothers me, but the story has got me hooked and the combat is the best in the series by far.

Same here. Lots of fun so far. And I am not even getting this auto-dialogue things. I can have full conversation with most of the important NPCs. Great lines there too. I still have options of what to say when it matters and some lines Shepard says during some interaction are not something that would be affecter by our decision.

I was really sad to see people on Metacritic bashing the game without even having played the game. ME3 is so not DA2 and does not deserve that. Missions I have played are well designed and some, like the Palaven and its moon, have a enourmous meaning to me. I am having such a great time. Suffering in antecipation of a bad ending is a very weak point and even if it is not the ending I might choose if I could write the story, it will diminish nothing of the great adventure I am having with my first and original John Shepard. He and I have been waiting for this for a long time.

Combat is fun, story is interesting, but the auto-dialogue is horrible.

I have seen the endings. I double doubt my opinion will change. I still would like Gollum doing the VA for the kid.. fits the character better, imho. =)

Now, the game is full, loaded, really heavy on small details that spell Greatness to me, like DA:Orings had.

The Salarian dancing in the queue for some machines in the Purgatory... priceless! hahaha (#AfterLifeFeelings by Ryu)

So you can confirm that SPOILER the normandy is always stranded, making sure that most people will never see their LI again if they are on the crew?

First, I meant I doubt my opinion will change. And no Sashimi, I can't confirm it. I've watched videos on YouTube but you know, while there is life, there is hope. Now, I see you have registered your ME3? You are playing it right? Be the endings whatever they may be, loose yourself into the game. It is being a great experience to me. Don't rush through it. Savour every moment of it. You wont regret it. I hope. =)

Thane's death was pretty emotional. Honestly, that whole "Cerberus on the Citadel" mission was a definite high point thus far - all of it was just excellent, and it moved at a perfect pace. Kai Leng, Thane's fight sequence, the elevator shaft, the VS stand-off, Udina... rounded off by Thane dying, at peace. Great sequence. The Asari Monastery was f**king creepy, as well.

I am loving every moment, especially the Kaidan subplot, it is very fluid and real. However I can't help but feel sadness and regret knowing that he will be off on some other planet making a colony, probably having children with someone else while my (hopefully alive with the right criteria) shep is back on earth. It is a very painful thing to think about. If i knew my long term SO of over 3 years had to do that while i was stuck somewhere else, it would tear me apart.

That is the only thing that gets me.  The endings (from what I hear I haven't gotten that far yet) suck.  If they get a DLC where you can stay alive with the LI than it can work.  Or at the very least fix (what is most likely a bug) the teleportation to the Normandy, that way I can take my LI with me and still be with them.  So far I am loving the game but knowing the endings is not letting me enjoy it as much as I think I would if I knew that everything will be ok considering the circumstances.

edit: I apologize I don't want this to go off on another direction, it is a good game so far but I am just saying that I am a little apprehensive about the endings.

I know what you mean. But Im taking the time, going real slow, exploring and diggin every detail, plus Insanity combat is certain to make it more epic and extended in length. I want it to last a long while. And I really dont think about the endings. Like you, I am loving the game too, so I try and enjoy it. Like crossing a river you know there is a crocodile in it. You cannot keep thinking about the croc or you may not make it. Easier said than done but with a little bit of good will, it happens. (when the croc bites, you wont feel a thing! =)

Yes I have to agree.

The plot is riddled with plotholes yet the writing for individual section do still stand out.

I see the hints of Bioware's former greatness within ME3 here and there.

Is the story on the level of Witcher 2? No but I definitely feels it wraps up the trilogy in a satisfying way.

We can nitpick each and every flaw in ME3 (which they are a lot) but it still is an impressively well-done piece of entertainment.
