Mass Effect 3 - Endings

Ending Blue: Has Shepard Sacrificing himself to take Controle of the Reapers and sending them back from where ever they came from.
Ending Green: Is the same as Ending Blue but with the fact that everyone in the Galaxie having their DNA overwritten to become half Machine and half Human/Asari/Krogan etc...
Ending Red: Has Shepard destroying the Reapers and staying alive.
But all those Ending share the same Goal of having all the Mass Relays destroyed, which is personally something i don't like, i would of preferred an Ending like Red with the Mass Relays intact and continuing the Story as a Hero and see everything getting Rebuild etc... really hope BioWare has another Ending besides those.

Even something as simple as dragon age origins' text epilogue would have been satisfying.

And so it begins! The greatest s**tstorm of our time! (There was a picture with Gandalf, but I'm too lazy to look out for it).

I did my vote already, perhaps there's a friendly heart at Bioware who will show mercy to us poor sensitive people.

I voted on that poll yesterday. Also hope for a not so bad ending.

Does that mean you have to play NG+? Or just, well, a second time.Tancho wrote...
I have the Collector's Edition guide, and it clearly states that 'a secret ending is also available to players who complete the game a second time.' I mean, that's not 'implying' there's a secret ending - that's word for word.
Also, after having watched footage of the ending scenes I noticed that the explosion scene where parts of the relay fly in all directions doesn't happen in Control. So you can save the relay network. The scene suggests some damage, but the relays won't be gone.
On the whole, I've come to like the endings. My major concern (relays blowing up in Control, which makes no sense at all) has been removed, the fate of Shepard in the Synthesis is open to several interpretations, and if what happens is told in very similar scenes flavored differently, I don't like that but I can live with it.
At first, I I missed the absence of an epilogue showing or telling the fate of species and characters. But when you think about it, the endings leave the galaxy in very different states. Particularly in Synthesis, it would be hard detailing more than the symbolic scene with the Normandy. Having said that, a number of *different* scenes after the ending would have been nice. The endings aren't "samey" at all, but the presentation does its best to mask that fact.

That poll is terrible. It makes presumptions that all people who think the endings suck do so because it's not happy. I think the endings suck because the bitter elements are entirely forced and just a bad narrative.Prince_Valiant wrote...

I get your point, but it's not my poll so I can't change this. Personally I want absolutely a choice for a happy end, but I respect other feelings.Taleroth wrote...

When I can't blame the Reapers, Cerberus, or whatever bad guy for the misfortune, then I'm left with only one interpretation of the events. "This is why McGuffins are bad." "This is why the writing is bad."

This is no legitimate argument. Bioware (i.e. Casey Hudson) made promises and announcements for which I've bought the game. If I'm paying a lot of money for a thing, of course I have the right to criticize it.OriginalTibs wrote...

Exactly, players are paying customers entitled to a satisfactory product. This isn't a book or a movie but a game (RPG game in fact). That said - you should be able to modify major plot decissions and results as you wish. If a lot of customers say that they don't like the product (or ending), the provider of the service should adress that issue. M.Prince_Valiant wrote...

I doubt it's anything spectacular because there's no new pre-rendered cutscenes.

I'm betting that's the Shepard lives epilogue. And either they didn't get the conditions right or the conditions were changed between printing of the guide and release.Tancho wrote...

I still can't believe they would build up character relationships and friendships for 3 games only to throw it all back in our faces.
