Yes, we know Shepard has synthetics in him from ME2. I started wondering the other day if they killed Shepard in ME2 just so the kid could say "even you are partly synthetic". If that's true, I'll be pissed.

I don´t think so. Apparently the ending back then had something to do with Dark Energy rather than AI Singularity.

Shepard´s eye implants are red and an inverted triangle in ME2, so there might be something here. Or maybe the devs thought it would look better like this.

Speaking of Dark Energy, there are so many loose things that never became anything. Take ME2. The dark energy issue with Haestrom's sun was very interesting for follow up, but none came. What was the point of fighting the Reaper larvae if we are not going to get inside another Reaper to blow its core? That would have been sweet.

This reminds me of the book Mass effect Retribution. The Reaper is trying to indoctrinate Shepard and only the destroy sets him free.

In the endings how did the crew get back on the Normandy so quick and where were they going? It is like they seen Shep and Anderson go into the beam then they bailed on them. People who were with Shep on Earth were on the ship at the end. That's very out of character for them to ditch Shep since I think it has been made clear that everyone on the Normandy would go to hell and back for Shep. Anderson was the one to react normally. As for the relays blowing up doesn't that wipe out entire systems from the explosion? Arrival dlc made that clear and me3 starts with Shep answering for killing over 300,000 people. So the ending I got with Shep gasping before the screen cut out was pointless since him and everything else in the system would have been destroyed before the gasp ever happened. A wrap up of what happens to everyone from the Normandy and the other species would have been nice. I would have like an ending with the Reapers flat out winning and also a happily ever after ending too. After so much time with this game series I guess I had my own idea of how it would end but even with what we got I don't think they were the right choices for reasons I already stated. The war assets should have had more pay off too. Spending so much time gathering that stuff and I didn't see any Primes or Elcor with heavy weapons on their backs helping out. All I think I saw was Krogan walking in the distance when the Destroyer had to be taken down. I acquired a lot of cool war assets with a effective military strength over 6000 and I got nothing really for it. The game was the best in the series till Shep ran for the beam and was blasted by a Reaper. As soon as the injured Shep stared limping around was when the wheels started to fall off. ME1 still gives me goosebumps when completed and ME2 gets me all jacked up for what is to come but ME3 lived up to everything up to when the end came and it fell short of expectations.

I was laughing at this statement. I posted about it as an EPIC fail. and that as far as any statement BW gives will be them just talking out their @ss. Until I see proof. My reply can be seen on page 123.

Because it's a 'legend' and a 'story' with some of the details being lost to their time. Shepard and his actions is  folklore, a legend, a myth, you're whinging on a point that is slapping you in the face ;;

yeah i know... in a post somewhere i mentioned that it is like the whole story is made up.. i think it was on a blog somewhere.  I dismissed it here b/c if the whole story is made up, then damn man..... really? lol

It would have been cool to hear something about the dark energy build up in that star for Tali's me2 mission. Are there any thoughts on the child in the hoodie not really being there? It seems to be the case since no one else pays attention to him. I didn't catch it on my play through but it does explain why he is present at the end. I'm taking it as some interface that Shep can see due to his implants and cipher. Now is it a reaper program or something else like what the beacon suggested was driving the reapers to action? In the end the Macguffin that is the catalyst is kind of lame because I liked that the reapers were in full control and had there own reason for doing this maybe like they were a creation of another species and they went against them like the Geth and Quarians but the reapers have been at it for so long that they are super evolved. The kid says something like this that synthetic life will always destroy their creators but for me it wasn't clear if that was what happened with the reapers but what would happen if advanced organics were allowed to live.

If the whole thing IS just a story from the old man (I REALLY hope that's not the case. That would be lame) then he could be implanting the kid for the kid's sake. It is a grandfather to a grandson, isn't it?

I have been very upset about mass effect 3's ending but then I found this video which talks about Shepard being indoctrinated at the end of the game.

I thought this theory was just fans holding on to the tiniest bit of hope they could find, but as it turns out there's actually a lot of game evidence.
I highly recommend everyone watching this video which explains the theory through the 3 games. It will totally blow your mind if you watch the WHOLE video because it makes a lot of sense.

Obviously no one knows for sure if this is the direction they are going. But to me it's really odd that this would just be some huge coincidence that just made it seem like indoctrination.

Why kill Shepherd if xp is too low?? Why destroy mass relays??? Are we too full of fear and cower in the knowledge of a vast Galactic Population??? What message do we give our young?? Live in fear children.. too many mosters out there stay home and stagnate???? Thank you but no thanks, I at least will live without fear and one day we will go out there and see what is happening. Stop killing great games with mediocre endings!!!
