Just one thing though. Mass Effect was a XBOX exclusive then it got to PC and then PS3.
No hopes for PC as X360 always get the good stuff first but since they won't have a text chat(most xbox come with a crappy headset) we won't be getting text chat. Its sad because I always want to say "STICK TOGETHER!" "MOVE OUT!" "GET OUT OF HERE" "IMBOUND" "RALLY!!" and etc. But oh well I have the lone wolf title since I don't care much about my fellow friends in arms with me on multiplayer. For Mass Effect 4 we just have to pray and wait so they can get a good Multiplayer all fixed up for all PC gamers. (Of course BioWare doesn't understand that people on XBOX can pretty much pirate/torrent the game and play online and grab an on-line pass from others which is a SHAME. But nothing is perfect.)

I don't know if this works or if you already know, but there's an easy way to chat in game(I think, I haven't really tested it out yet). What you have to do is enable the console. Once in the game or lobby, activate the console(I think it's the tilde key on some keyboards), now in the console type "say" without the quotes and then your message. So if you want to chat in game and say "Hello.", the line in your console would be: say hello.

It'd like be able to send phrases pre-defined by user. Examples:
- Command T 1 => "Watch your back"
- Command T 2 => "Run to the EZ"
- Command T 3 => "Good game. Thanks."

Wow... In Gears of War for PC people use this all the time since there's not a formalized chat system either. Don't see what's the problem though, You should only be banned if you cheat, not if you use an inoffensive messaging command...

They took away my text chat mod I made a while ago. It's still mirrored on my site and femshep picked it up and made a couple of changes to it.

The multiplayer commands are pretty well locked down so without advanced strategery the console isn't going to do much even for the host assuming they modify their executable.

I've used text chat for ages and the only thing people do is like WAAAAAAAAA TEXT CHAT YOU'RE A BIOTIC GOD!

After a while you learn how to type in 'say' really fast.
