Here are the error details:
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH

Application Timestamp: 4f46d052
Fault Module Name: MSVCR90.dll

Fault Module Timestamp: 4dace5b9
Exception Code: c0000005
Exception Offset: 0003ae7a

So I tried several things, none of which worked: Disabling Origin In-game, Repair Install on Origin, re-installing latest DirectX, Microsoft C++/NET packages, even the ones included in Mass Effect 3's "__Installer" folder. None of this has worked, and I keep getting the same exact error.
Help!

Lucky you. I don't even make it that far before I get the Mass Effect 3 has stopped working. Mine just happens when I try to launch the game. I don't get to see the logos or anything. My error message is slightly different, too, although I am sure they are related:

Exact same problem when trying to launch ME3. I also have the OP's problem when trying to play Fifa 12. Those are the only two Origin games I have, and neither work, and I've even done a clean install of Windows, I'm at an absolute loss.

I'm pretty sure it's an origin issue, because that's the obvious common denominator.
HEY, EA! Origin is BROKEN!
Stop requiring it for your damned games when it's a completely broken platform you jackasses!

I'm also having issues with the BEX awc.dll error. Freaking Origin! Anybody have a work around?

Its not just EA/Bioware. EA/Dice has similar issues with BF3.

I'm sure it is, as a last resort I downloaded the pirated version of Fifa 12, and it worked perfectly! I'm sure if I did the same with ME3 it would work too, but I'm not going to. I want to play the games I've paid for, and it's about time EA / Origin recognised that there are problems. They've stopped responding to me on Fifa 12, let's hope we have more success getting a fix for ME3.
I have an msvcr80.dll error when Fifa won't load. After the most recent Origin update the fifaconfig also occasionally crashes with an mscorwks.dll error, and I have the awc. dll error for ME3. Everything else on my system runs fine, I've reinstalled windows, tested my ram, only with Origin Games do I have these problems.

Having the same problem. Everything was working and running just fine. Odd enough I can hop on Multiplayer mode and no crashes. When I go back to single player and load my save. About 1 minute in from where I'm saved the game crashes.

For the record, I wasn't even getting as far as the logos or multiplayer, it was an immediate crash when the game started.

Here's what I did to solve the problem. Unistalled ME3>deleted everything related to ME3 from the My Documents folder>unistalled Origin>retarted the PC>installed Origin>installed ME3. The game returned to running flawless again.
Hope this helps the people with the same problem.

I took backup from my Savegames (I backuped all Bioware-folder) before I started the procedure...
After I got everything working again. I restored saved games to Bioware-folder and I was able to pinpoint the file causing trouble (4me) ../Save/Local_Profile.sav
Thank You Guys 4 Help!! *ThumbUp*

That fixed the problem for me too ^^ I just deleted it and synced from local files. Thanks.
