Like I posted couple of months back Bioware/EA should have canceled the pc version.
The sales of the previous Mass effect titles were a joke on pc.
Torrents are exploding everywhere for the pc version of the game.
So was it really worth it? Everybody and I do mean everysingle person who I know that owns a gaming pc is gonna torrent this game. Some of those people didn't before with the first or second they bought them on ps3 or 360 but  now everybody has enough power in their pc's that these ports run on them. So goodbye to even your console sales. Too bad some developers are still wasting money on pc development not to mention support.

It is just time to face the facts. New big (49$) singleplayer focused games don't sell on pc but those get torrented so heavily that even the console sales suffer.

Before somebody says how skyrim sold nicely on pc. It still sold less on pc than either of the console versions and the devs spend more time on the pc version and modsupport and testing etc.. than they would have ever spend on the console versions and they lost a TON OF SALES TO PC PIRATES. hell the game is still beign torrented in the thousands and the sales are dying fast...

You know they torrent heavily on consoles as well right? Not justifying it but just so you know it isn't all pc.

I remember reading an article (last year I believe), that described in detail how pirating of 360-games was becoming more common than pirating of PC-games. It had fancy numbers and graphs, and seemed pretty convincing. And with all the digital delivery options available for people on PC, it wouldn't really surprise me.

Don't even talk about the console piracy and pc piracy on the same sentence. Pirate bay has 12 thousand leechers and couple of thousand seeders on the most popular mass effect 3 pc version. On the most popular 360 version they have under 200 seeders and under 2000 leechers. CONSOLE PIRACY IS NOTHING WHEN COMPARED TO PC PIRACY. But hey you are porbably saying how the 2 days makes all the difference. Because the 360 version was 2 days earlier there right? WRONG! THERE WAS EVEN 2 DAYS BEFORE THAT A PC VERSION AND ALL THEY HAD TO DO IS GET THE CRACK SO HAHAHAH PC GAMING IS DOOMED.

Good games will always sell. Piracy is mostly just a bad excuse when bad games fail miserably.

Oh sorry, I thought you were being serious for a minute there. Moving right along..

A simple search on everyone's dear old friend Google will show cracks and hacks to get the game free. It only depends on how much effort you're willing to put into it. I don't even need to go into reasons here, just saying all platforms are equal. Well maybe not, especially since consoles take time and a special sort of laziness to design, then don't get updated for as long as financially possible. Don't we all love the comfort zone?

One reason PC games are being pirated is because they are half-arsed console ports (like ME 3), and developers aren't arsed to port them well because they are being pirated. I'm willing to pay for good PC games, but EA is plaguing good titles. ME 3 is probably last game I buy what is flagged under EA. Their support to games are depending how well it sells, example Alice didn't sell well and they left it without any patch or real support even it's swarming with bugs.

Firs of all the CE is out of stock in every online UK retailer that is availiable. So I guess it will sell pretty well on the PC (and if it was on steam it would sell even better).
Sencond, not everyone who pirates this game will not end buying it B)

The Pc Version of Mass Effect 3 is 1st. (Xbox 4th and Ps3 6th)  on the amazon.de selling list.
So just because all of your friends are software pirates, that doesn't mean there are no people buying the game legally.
