When i run Mass effect 3, after a short time from a few seconds to a few minutes i get sound 'stutters' and mouse lag (infact, everything lag). The strange part is that this continues even when mass effect is shut, and affects anything else i do afterwards until I reboot my laptop. I did not have this problem with the demo.
To confirm it's not just a problem with my laptop i tried running it with every other programme i might use and left it running for a few hours; once again the problem didn't start until i ran Mass Effect 3.
I've also run virus and malware scans with trusted programmes and ran into no problems there either.
I'm using the Origin digital version of the game (same with the demo, which does NOT cause the same problems) and i'm using a 64bit system running windows 7, and my laptop has an AMD Turion II Dual-Core mobile M520 2.30 GHz processor and 4G of ram
Any thoughts on what might cause this and possible solutions would be greatly appreciated.
