Hello I know this is the ME2 forum, but I don't own ME3 yet and I cannot post in the ME3 forum.

I suffered a HORRIBLE BEATING from amazon, I preordered my ME3 collecters on July 11, 2011 and since then, my credit card expired and amzon sent me no alerts. I am just furious. SO I updated my info etc and the game will ship but it wont arrive today.

So I am planning on just going to the store and buying a non collectors edition, and then getting the DLC later and selling the remiander. But I am curious how connecting or registering the EA account works. Will I "ruin" my non collectors game for the next person by registering it? Can i get the collector DLC without registering the collector disk?

Basically will I be left with a full new copy of ME3, if I combine a non collector copy, with all the collector DLC? How does the DLC even work? Is each item it's own code?

Seeing that most tech questions are answered on the ME3 tech boards and that's where most troubleshooters are, the chances of your question being answered is slim. Being in the UK I haven't got my copy yet as it hasn't been released over here (we're still waiting).

As far as I can tell registering the game won't make any difference to the game itself, unless you are a PC owner. For consoles you only register using the UPC or barcode, and that's the same for all editions of the game.

You have to be clear what you mean by 'ruin'. If you intend to redeem the code which came with the game and then sell that game on, then there is a sense in which it has been 'ruined'.

Dlcs are obtained by redemption of a code. I'm sure there are those who redeem the codes and never bothered with registering here; it isn't mandatory as far as I'm concerned for console owners. How many codes will depend on how they have assigned the packs I would presume. But since the game is out in North America I'm sure people on the ME3 general board can answer your question there.

As for 'new copy of ME3'; again, you'll have to be a bit clearer about what you mean. After all, for some, once you opened the packaging it's no longer new.

I cannot post on the ME3 boards because I have not registered a ME3 and I "do not have sufficient privileges to post" talk about annoying.

I am hoping I can simply NOT register until I get the CE. Then I can return/resell my non-CE and although it wont be new, it will be complete. I dont' want to use up any of it's codes or passes. I am wondering if I can play single player only without registering anything.

I do wonder how something like that would work. Best bet is to just wait until the ce shows up :/

Registration so far has not been mandatory on console. I see no problem and can't see why you are worrying about it.
