Starting to read a few reviews that if you don't play MP for War Assests you will not be able to get the best ending.  Can someone confirm of this is true?

Simply put , NO. Just play the game as you would normally.

There are enough points without MP but you only get 50% value without MP or that phone game.

"best" ending is hugely open to interpretation..

I heard it was capped at 50% until you play multiplayer. Don't know if it's true or not.

Do we only get the same endings as the leaked endings? Most of the complaints on the endings assume that the leaked endings are the only we get.

Keep in mind however that Galactic Readiness and War Assets are two totally different levels which are multiplied together for your ending. Therefore, it is possible to get the best ending without MP but it's much more difficult especially since a lot of the side quests are timed.

Seems that way. I was looking the "green" ending earlier and got totally fooled by the DX version. Never realised until he called him by name.

Awesome. Very encouraging, since I made some real progress in raising my overall readiness through several multiplayer matches last night.

Good to know.

Being forced to play multiplayer, is not something that makes me happy. What happened to a nice single player RPG that Bioware is famous for?

You DO NOT have to play multiplayer. There is more than enough Readiness available to get every ending by doing side quests. The GAW is a multiplier which makes it possible to get the same endings without doing as much in SP. That's all.

Simply put: NO. You do not need to even touch multiplayer to get the "best" ending. Just be prepared to do some side missions.

Reviewers don't know what they are talking about.

Yes, multiplayer raises your Galactic Readiness which in turn can, and I stress the "can", help you get the perfect ending, but it is not necesary.

Don't listen to those reviewers, the game is designed so you could play just the single player and get the best ending. MP just makes it easier to get it basically because you won't have to do as many side missions to get a higher galactic readiness. If you don't want to play MP you don't have to but its there as another option if you choose to

That eases my conscience. I want to beat SP and then play MP, not have to juggle the two. At least, not on my first playthrough.

Still not a big fan of all this "Galaxy Readiness" and other nonsense, though.

LOCKED at 50%. Can't go lower. MP can raise it to 100%, but you get the amount of assets needed for a 'perfect' ending EASILY even if it stays at 50% . MP is not needed, 100%, is overkill, or a really cheesy way to get a good ending if you SCREW UP ROYALLY during SP. And I mean ROYALLY.

EA wants multiplayer in every game. Just wait until DA3....

No - it means you need to collect as many war assets as possible in SP, but you can achieve perfect ending without MP.

It's fairly simple. What you do in singleplayer, grabbing assets, sidequests etc etc add up to galaxy at war points total. But the number that actually counts is worked out by the galactic readiness percentage. The number that goes into working out the ending is essentially

(Galaxy at war points) X (Galactic readiness percentage)

Correct me if I'm wrong, its 130am where I am.

What this means is that whilst you can collect all the assets (or a lot of them) to get the highest amount of points without playing a single game of multiplayer, your life would be a lot easier if you played multiplayer, because more of your points would matter as your percentage increases.

Also, once you max out a MP character to 20 you can add It to your singleplayer war assets, so its a win win. Bear in mind this resets you character.

EDIT: wasn't complete, pressed submit early, damn typing on phone.

my guess would be the ending that requires the most amount of points to obtain?  of course, its totally subjective if that ending is 'perfect', but i digress :)
