i'm having a bit of issue starting mass effect on PC. I can get to the cinfiguration screen but when I actually boot the game up after said screen, nothing happens. I know that my games are only running on direct x 9 at the moment (as I've had this problem when trying to boot other games and they all did nothing until I manually changed which version they were running). Is there a way I can change which version of direct x mass effect is running manually?

I'm having the same problem. Can anyone help? I thought that maybe upgrading to Bring Down the Sky would help, but you can't get it from the Bioware website anymore because they won't let you register ME from this area I don't think....HALP

I had the same problem not long ago. Right clicking on my Mass Effect shortcut and selecting "Run as Administrator" solved it for me. Good luck!

While this fix worked for me and im happy that it did, this is quite possibly the stupidest fix to a gaming issue ever.

would reccommend downloading the patch and running the game, i had the same issue and the patch fixed it.
