I successfully installed the game, but when I try to launch I get this error message:

The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether your need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher.

I have 64-bit Windows on my computer.  Does this mean the game is only compatible with 32-bit?

Can you please try uninstalling Origin and then downloading the latest Origin client from here and see if the problem persists?

Thanks

I have a win 7 64bit system and it work perfectly.
I would reinstall, do any origin updates or even reinstall origin too.
otherwise talk to a live agent

Quick question: I downloaded ME2 through Origin (no hard copy). If I uninstall Origin, will I lose my ME2 game saves?

you shouldn't lose them amaltheaelnor. When I uninstalled ME2 to save space on my drive, my save games were untouched.

Uninstalling and reinstalling...
And it worked :wizard:

I'm not sure how it wold handle save games, since your just uninstalling the Origin client. You can always make a back up of the folder, they're typlically found in Documnets->BioWare

Just make a backup folder for your savegames. i always do that.. just to make sure... i would freak out if i lost all those hard earned savegames.
