I had the game preloaded and ready to go on March 6th, but until the commander Shepard I know is in the game, I'm going to focus on some other games in my collection. I never thought I would feel so strongly about a character customization feature. I guess that is a testament to how attached I have become to my Shepard.
Thanks to the team for keeping us informed of the situation. I can only imagine what the post-launch period must be like. I have full confidence that this feature will be repaired.
Likewise, I'm not a fanboy by anymeans and I created my first Shepard in probably only 5 minutes. When I imported to ME2 from ME1 that was an amazing feeling to see the same exact Shepard (albeit with better graphics) imported right before my eyes. The level of depth to the game gave me more of an attachment to the main character and started to actually feel that the Shepard I created REALLY fit the role. Now in ME3 I am faced with having to have a "girly" version that is the perception of someone who is not me, and not my Shepard.

I only put a script together to get a facecode I could convert into sliders for Mass Effect 1, I had no idea what was gonna happen with Mass Effect 3.Bloodmode wrote...
The problem here is that I wish the 'fan' never created this workaround in the first place. It is only delaying an OFFICIAL fix for a bug that should never have been.

I'm not blaming you Merdink, you did everyone here a great service. The problem is that Bioware latched on to it as a "workaround" to buy time. I hope they are paying you for this.

most of the modifications were already on a preset, so i just hope they ddint remove the preset or else i can see the abomination that will appear in ME3..

Honestly mate, I think you've done a stand up job. I wish I'd found your tool many moons ago and it's really handy. I don't think Bloodmode is trying to cause offence, it's just frustrating for us that really this shouldn't be a problem; we've paid Bioware to have something like this working but we haven't paid you a dime and your solution works better than their current absent one!
You helped out the community sir, with your script's original purpose. Now it's being used divergently for another useful goal. I am not worthy

Whenever I use modio to look at my files, there are no .xbsav files, only .sav files. Why is this?
Go to the Open from Device and when that window pops up I think there's a Contents tab or something, well the right most tab. In there you right click, Extract All

1. Got the face code from the website
2. Put the code in the ME2 CC to change the nose
3. Put the new ME2 code in the ME3 CC
4. Got my sheppy back

You made the workaround??!
Granted, I'm still incredibly annoyed that this character import problem is even an issue to begin with, and really, it's absolutely ridiculous, since playing with YOUR character is such an important aspect of the game. But I at least feel a little better now that I can recognize my Shep again. So again... THANK YOU!

I tried the fan workaround, but it's just not the same. And I know it'll annoy me very much if I start playing now.

well it was a ME1-ME2 import, but the ME1 toon had a custom face but i used the default for ME2...maybe its a throwback from the custom ME1 face.
Ive also tried tweaking my custom femsheps but they always come out angry looking...looks like im waiting and hoping for a proper fix for this before i enjoy my proper femshep runs
still im getting hooked on MP so that will keep me busy until they sort out this and the 'helmet default off' issue

Honestly now I can't blame anybody for thinking EA screwed up the ME series. This is coming from someone who thought EA criticism was silly and over the top.
