Totally agree. This is crap! How the hell did they screw this up? Ugh... They hype up all the stuff about making your character and story your way yet come launch of the final installment, your character is no longer there. You would think they would have learned from the last game and the Dragon Age franchise. I guess not. Epic Fail Bioware.jtc736 wrote...

All my character were created in ME1, since you know, I've been playing since ME1. Face import error is a real strange thing to overlook ...
I agree, after a multitude of install issues I finally fire up the game and import my character and hit the import error...i thought to myself, no biggie, I'll just recreat my femshep. Boy was I wrong...my best attempt to emulate my femshep looks like a woman that just had plastic surgery gone wrong
My stock in Bioware has dropped drastically and I will seriously have to consider whether I would preorder any of their games in the future as they could not have not known about this issue...its pretty much a slap in the face to those of us that have been playing our characters since ME1...

I'm a little bit unfamiliar with 360, so please have patience.
I
have a quick question. I never personally saved my Mass Effect 2 file
into my hard drive. While the disc was in the consule, I kept saving,
and everytime I went back my saves would show. Does this mean that it
automatically saved the game on the hard drive?
I ask because I
just popped in ME3, and I wanted to import my saves from the previous
game. When I choose that particular option, it says that my Shepard is
"Sole Survivor." This throws me off a little because it leads me to
think that I lost everyone on the last mission, but I only lost Jack.
The "Sole Survivor" might not even be referring to that, and I just
might not be familiar enough to unerstand what it's actually referring
to. Please Help!!!!!!
Side note......When I go to my System Settings > Memory > Memory Unit > Games I'm able to see my save from Mass Effect 2.

Isn't Sole Survior one of the origin/background options? I'm 99% sure it is. It should tell you how many squadmates survived the 2nd game elsewhere on the summary. I'm almost positive I saw before snapping ME3 off due to my Shep's look not carrying over.

You know, the more I think about this... I don't think they'll be able to fix it.
Some of the pieces needed to remake my Shepard simply aren't there anymore. And I'm not talking about hair either. Her mouth, her eyes, the shape of her head... they're gone.
Same here dude. I try my best to recreate my femshep but some of her features are missing. ugh @_@

The facecode generated by the tools for my original ME1 imported shepard got all the facial structure stuff right in ME3, near as I can tell, but the hair color it selected for me is blonde. There are a couple red choices, but none of them, at least to me, seem to match the hair color from my ME2 shepard, they all look more like dye jobs in the creator. Am I missing the totally obvious with one that looks correct under different lighting?

Sole Survivor is one of the options you choose for your characters backstory(specifically their psyche profile)-
War Hero

If there is one thing I know, the hair and nose make the Shepard. My ME1 nose isn't in ME2 so I can't get my male Shep right.
Definitely eyes as well. My female Shepard looks weird as hell without her eyes.

And several of us warned BioWare about this last week after the Space Edition players experienced this glitch. Just now they are acknowledging it?! Because IGN and others are reporting on it?! 50% of ME2 players imported their game. This affects a lot of players. Totally ridiculous.
Unlike all the pre-order and code hoops we have to jump through which is due to business decisions, this glitch is totally on BioWare's watch. No one else.

I refuse to play single player until they add in the original facial features everyone has been using since Mass Effect 1 & 2!
It blows my mind how the most essential and basic features of a game can be overlooked like this. It really does baffle me...
Here are some pics.

I'm not starting a playthrough with some scrub who kinda, sorta looks like the character I played the first two games with. And until that issue is resolved, I have no desire to play the multiplayer mode. So at the moment, I have an $80 fabric patch/art book/digital soundtrack.

I can't stand to play the game the way it is. Every cutscene is a slap in my face. I am felling betrayed, treated as an idiot. I am... I am without words to express my frustration.
Life sucks. I think I will pretend the game isnt finished yet, because it isnt.

I can't believe this. Milions of dollars in advertising, Casey Hudson giving dozens of interviews, all the hype to the launch, and all come to this.

I just dearly hope you folks can come out with a patch soon. I'm disappointed and sad. Please, let me have my Shepard back.

I have three choices.
1. Wait until this is fixed.
2. Shelve this game for a long time and get back to playing other games.
3. Use the stock Shepard and lie to myself about how this new Shepard is the real Shepard but that he has hair now because some time has passed and he looks different because he's actually experiencing side effects of the Lazarus Project...
Way to go Bioware.

But this is inexcusable. Because either A) No one bothered to test carrying a save over from the first game (which you know...is kind of a big deal) or
This needs to be fixed, the game shouldn't have even hit shelves with this issue unless there was already a patch live to fix it. And Bioware needs to give us more than 1 friggin post in 9 hours about it.
