Really, I’m running low on patience.
What would it be like with Star Wars? „Yeah, so you liked the New Hope and Empire? Here comes the Jedi Returns, with the same cast. Harrison Ford will be back as Han Solo, we just showed him on the posters.” – Except, when the carbonite melts, it’s Dolph Lundgren, who gets out of it.
Don’t get me wrong, I like him here and there, but it’s just not the same experience. AND of course they told us, it will be the same guy over the trilogy.
I pretty much idolized Bioware before. From Baldur’s Gate through KOTOR to Mass Effect. KOTOR 2 was unfinished in it’s own term, but it was good enogh for me to play it through a couple of times. I was shocked at first with the changes in ME2, but I learned to love it. Dragon Age 2 was the first game of BW, that I absolutely loathed because of it’s changes, still I chewed myself through it once.
Now I have the Collector’s Edition, bought at 7th. Waited to 9th to register it in Europe, and still not played a minute. Does it make any difference to the developer/publisher? I better not put myself into that illusion. They got their money from me already – ain’t they?
The situation now resembles me a manufacturer, who advertises it’s car with something, and when you realise that they screwed you, they just say: „Yeah, we know it, will work on it. At the time try install it yourself with the help of someone”
I’m an end user. I don’t want to do anything with hex editing and so. I just want to use the feature they promoted.
And of course I have bigger chance to struck by lightning on a sunny afternoon, than to get some compensation in the future, for my inconvenience.
Maybe EA have feed Bioware after midnight. Now they looks like the same cuddly creatures, but wicked and mischievous int he inside…
