And where's the photo of the corpsicles from spacing the gremlins that caused the problem?

I have stuck with Bioware and praised the work they have done for years now all for them to slap me in the face. I have grown to love my Shepard. I remember playing ME2 for the first time and seeing MY Shepard make her entrance gave me goosebumbs. I was lucky enough to get a CE of the game but it doesn't matter now because all I can do is play multiplayer. I refuse to touch single player until they fix the problem.
I always had a fear for Bioware once they got bought out by EA. I knew EA would ruin them. And they did. It's clear now that Bioware is just too big for its britches. It really is a shame.
So please Bioware help us on this one soon. Make me believe in you again.

What was your QA team doing that testing an import all the way from ME1 wasn't the FIRST thing they tried? This is amateur. Considering how heavily your marketing focused on this being an epic story spanning 3 games and how your choices would effect everything. Obviously all the testing was done from an ME2 save which is ridiculous.
Actually, the testing was almost certainly done from a dummy save created for testing purposes, not a genuine savefile. It's quite possible that said save did simulate being brought in from the first Mass Effect, but being fabricated rather than an authentic result of an import, failed to trigger this issue.
Which is exactly why at some point in the testing process (I do QA myself) the import selection should have been tested using an actual save file. At some point you always need to do a real world test. This is not rocket surgery.

I'll add my frustration to the pile. While I've now got a few hours in with my Shepherd having completely the wrong face, I'm hesitant to start on the major plot missions if a fix is coming soon. But then why should I have to wait, face importing should have worked in the first place!
Exactly! Can we please please please just get an ETA?

In Mass Effect 2 Illusive Man rebuild Shepard. Creators of Illusive Man cannot rebuild Shepard in Mass Effect 3.

This should be a meme..!
But seriously I´m running out of patience... I check this thread at least twenty times a day to see if there is at least SOME progress but nothing. I feel like someone waiting for news on his lost dog... Shepdog.

I don't want an ETA, I'm waiting to know what it is that I'm actually waiting for.

Seriously Bioware, give us something to go on - its been 5 days and we've heard nothing - its completely unacceptable.

How does it feel to know that as a games developer, you just failed? You have let down your fanbase, and what's most odd is, you don't seem to care!
I have said this before, but it bears repeating: Rockstar, Bethesda, Ubisoft, Rocksteady. All of these developers would have treated us far better than you have. YOU HAVEN'T EVEN APOLOGISED!!
My copy of Mass Effect 3 has been sold. I am currently playing games by companies that give a damn about their fans. I have always respected Bioware but your lack of communication is ridiculous. Just an apology would do.

Also the advertisement says that its the first trilogy you can play with your leading character.. Thats untrue also. I still remember teh ADD&D games made by SSI like Champions Of Krynn, Death Knights of Krynn, and Dark Queen of Krynn and more . They all had the option to import the characters from the others.
Going back further, you could do the same with the Ultimas (I through VII part 2), Wizardry, Bard's Tale... heck, any of the CRPGs of the 80s and early 90s pretty much. They even had importing characters between different publishers.
Actually having plot hooks that (mostly) carried over is a bit different from the old gold box games tho. If they ever gave you a love interest it was inevitably in the last game in the series, ie. DK of Krynn, Treasures of the Savage Frontier, so there wasn't anything later for them to effect.

My advice: don't wait for Bioware to patch this. Go ahead and complete the game anyway while it's still worth something in the trade-in bins. Because I guarantee most of you will be wanting to get rid of it once it's been completed.

I just had a phonecall with Nicole Shepard and she explained to me why her appearence did change so much. She Told me that with all the cash she got from defeating ME2 she had a new haircut and she said she liked it. She also told she was having a minor problem with 1 leg. She said because she got shot in the leg and was having problems with running fast she decided to have it Fixed. So she went to the private hospital to get her leg fixed but instead of dooing that they gave her a NOSE job!! Man she was mad! But later on she saw some old movies from Michael Jackson and she was thinking.. hey it could have been worse ...
Later on she discovered that the private Clinic was owned by Conrad Verner . Nicole learned that Conrad has accidently got acces to the bank account of the Volar.
Nicole is not pleased at all with her new face.. But she is very happy she still has her (.)(.) not corrected.
Nicole also told me she has a new mission now and she dont goe to often looking in mirrors anymore.
She also promised that if she will meet Conrad again she will shoot him 5 times in his foot.
Nicole just finished the Mars mission and is at the Citadel right now and she thinks her new face is a minor problem compared to Ash. She wants Ash to recover,
Nicole hopes that while beeing on the missions she will find a better Hospital to get her facial structure bones and nose restored to how it was. She also hopes to find a Bioware barber to get her hair back in the old fashioned way she was used to.
The main thing is.. Nicole is upset with her new look and she disagree's a lot.. But she has a mission to forfill and that is what she is gooing for now.
Take Care

Supposedly, yes. Plot data such as loyalty missions and who lives or dies is imported, and from what I can tell, that process is working. You should see a summary of what you're importing when you do it in ME3.Sir Martyn Saint wrote...
I have a question to you guys, I have imported my Shepard from ME1 y ME2. but, as everybody knows, the face could not be imported, The rest of the data collected from my previous games is still used inspite of the new face I have created?

Well i started playing.... I could not resist not dooing so. I started playing with a reconstructed femshep that is the most likely to be Nicole.

They really messed up the eyelashes. Small detail but it's another mistake in the long list of them they've made when it comes to the face editor/ graphics engine.
LOL I don't think there was enough female consultation when it came to designing the eyes with makeup. Since when did it ever look good or normal to have the bottom lid eyelashes twice as long as the top, and heavy mascara on the bottom lashes? I guess it's a 22nd century fad. ME2 did makeup and eyes much better than ME1 or 3.
