I dont care at this stage if they say "We can't fix it"

It is the limbo of the potential that there may be not be a fix and holding off on not playing the game when I could be which is killing me.

If they say there is no fix, fine, I'll play with my Shepard that I Bioware Programmed myself.

Communication is everything, and we are getting none.

Doesn't that prove my point though? The point of interacting with the community in a transparent manner is to avoid tinfoil-hatting. Ignorance is really just a lack of information, and we're suffering from it lots.
Even if it's just "We're working on it, seriously. I don't have any specifics right now, but I promise I'll try to get back to you," it'd prove to be an efficient way to get rid of the constant frothing.

The rest of your post is just the opposite of tinfoil hatting, because we don't know anything.
Why?
Nothing's been said. And nothing's been said regarding the whole "they must've known about this"-issue, either.
It's just leaning towards renegade, and it's easily fixed. That's what's really frustrating.

And if Chris is just a community guy, and I don't assume his job is easy, taking the time to just repeat the same thing over and over has worked well for other companies, like Activision Blizzard, because it looks like they care and are actively looking into it.
I can't be sure he's working hard to find answers, either, because we haven't heard from him.

I'm just saying, communication is good. I don't want to sound like I'm demanding very much, or constant attention or somesuch. But from where I'm standing, it really doesn't sound so bad to just retype the same statement over and over.
Again, I should stress that I don't know, and I'm not an expert.

When you don't communicate on a hot issue like this you let people fill in the blanks. The worst thing you can do is to just stop communicating.

For the console owners. I am using this time to do my first playthrough to gather my achievements and see a romance side and whatever ending I end up with. Hopefully the situation will be more clear down the road. PC users, I just feel for you,

It's anyones guess on when the patch is released. It could be days or weeks away or they may not be able to correct the issue. Just have to wait and see what they say when they finally update the post. I still can't believe BioWare let this problem slip through the cracks and into the final release despite the development extension that delayed the game. Better with kinect? How bout better with YOUR Shepard;p

Finally got a reply from them and they are referring to the short term solution which is posted in the begining of this small thread, the fan made solution. <_<
Why can't they just say they are working on a patch instead?

Any one know of another way to contact Dr. Ray Muzyka other than his twitter page? That guy should know how much his game in its current form sucks.

I'm with you. I just purposefully finished ME1 and ME2 for the second time, just to enjoy my Shepard character even more in ME3. It seems like a small thing, but it's important. When you play through games like this, you develop a connection with your character, and to not have that represented in ME3 completely kills the immersion. I cannot believe this was overlooked, since being able to import characters was such a key element in the first two games. I'll just keep waiting until this is fixed I guess.

The doctor founders of Bioware have cool, well payed positions in EA's management, a "minor" bug will not concern them

This is the response I got from an EA rep:

Hello Finn,

Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts and letting us know about your issue.

I appreciate your interest in the game and assure you to provide the continual support throughout from my end.

Please accept my genuine apology for the way you have been made to feel. We at EA, strive to make our customers have an exceptional experience. Any deviation from this is dealt very critically. Your case definitely merits attention and I assure you my support in getting this sorted out.

I have gone through your issue and like to inform you to keep a check on the game forum for any updates. I also wish to suggest you that we do not any ETA for this, because this depends on the game developer and the people working for the game. They are still working on this.

I wish I could personally do something for you but nothing much can be done.

I humbly ask for your understanding regarding this matter and I apologize for any inconvenience caused to you.

Electronic Arts values your affiliation and looks forward to hear from you. Also, in case of any help, please get in touch with us anytime. Alternatively, please visit our extensive knowledge base online: http://help.ea.com.

80% of the people don't like the me3 ending and 20% of the people can't play because their shepards don't have faces... bioware guys where is my money?!

1.- finish the fix and FAST
2.- make MORE THAN ONE ending (WE MADE A LOT OF CHOICES, WE WANT A LOT OF ENDINGS!)
3.- APOLOGIZE WITH YOUR LOYAL FANS

I disagree, Mass Effect 3 is a great game.  Also, I saw that fixmasseffect3.com for the first time just now.  Thanks for putting that there, I haven't laughed that hard in a while.

So basically: "Sorry, but we can't help you and we have no idea what Bioware is doing to resolve this".

Seems like the support personnel couldn't get an answer for the ETA on the face import patch for you.

Well you know what they say about marriages; Communication = Strength in relationship:happy:

Actually, rumor has it, according to a poster some pages back, that Bioware doesn't consider this bug important enough for them to deal with personally, so they have outsourced it to EA. We have no way of knowing how true that is though.

Plots within plots. I just hope it's resolved in a timely manner. If not, I'll return the game to Amazon and play Risen 2 instead.

Gotta say- I'm still pretty miffed about this. My "new" FemShep looks similar, but at the same time, nothing like the real deal. It's like watching a sequel to "Twister" with Leelee Sorbieski in it instead of Helen Hunt.

http://img.photobuck...ds/e4849389.jpg -ME1, pre-Spectre

http://img.photobuck...ds/78e5fd16.jpg -ME2, imported, no changes

http://img.photobuck...ds/72f035f3.jpg -ME2 Facelift (Pretty close, I'd say)

http://img.photobuck...ds/37752c5c.jpg -ME3's Leelee Shepard-bieski.

I have about a dozen Shepards waiting for this fix. I don't know if you've heard, but Earth (not to mention the rest of the galaxy) is being attacked by the Reapers, and we're the only people who can stop it. I hope you're doing everything you can to get us into the fight. After all, there are countless lives hanging in the balance.

After seeing the ending I no longer care about this face import thing. Since I won't ever be touching the game again. I did care but now its small potatoes compared to that ending. Not to spoil anything but yikes that was bad.

Unfortunately the plot surrounding the import bug is now more entertaining and has better twists than the ME3 plot...

l3gitwaffle- that is a typical political response.

All these fluffy filler words.

What would be nice is this: date information.

Perhaps, but it's not gonna hurt to voice our opinions, especially if it's a good large number
