This is abolutley horrible. I spent HOURS last week perfecting my male shepard's face, and when I go to import my save, HALF of the facial features I used aren't even available anymore. I used the far right mouth (last one), and now it's gone, the mouth was the most important feature on my Shepard, and now it's replaced with one that looks terrible, not even close to how it should look. Also the chin transfered over wonky as well. I now have a massive jutting out chin.
I refuse to play single player until they add in the original facial features everyone has been using since Mass Effect 1 & 2!
It blows my mind how the most essential and basic features of a game can be overlooked like this. It really does baffle me...
Here are some pics.
In regards to this Shepard, I know there are some glaring differences between both versions.
But we also need to accept that no matter what, the faces of our Shepards will look different in ME 3 due to the changes in the engine.

Patch by Friday? Doesn't the certification process for a patch take a while?
Well hopefully PC by Friday. Also I think MS wants this resolved ASAP also.

It will be a week or more likely two weeks before a patch people.
And if you already started the game, you will probably be stuck with the face you settled with. This bug should have been fixed before release. This is totally ridiculous.

Will I be able to make changes to my Shepard when I import?
You will be given the option to alter the appearance of Shepard, and you will be able to change class (i.e. Soldier to Adept) as well.
NOTE: Some ME2 saves will not be able to import the face-file of your Shepard. You will need to re-create the appearance when importing the file.

So are they patching it or they just telling us "That's too bad, maybe you should not use features we aren't putting a game we're making 5 years in the future"
They are working on one.

I haven't heard anything either, but hasn't MS invested in helping to promote the game? When the PS3 version doesn't have this issue (due to no ME1 of course) it can't look good for MS.
While I would love if MS were willing to push for a fix for this to be made available quickly... I thought there were some PS3 gamers who were having problems as well? Not just Xbox 360 and PC?

I sincerely hope you are wrong about this. Changes to engine shouldn't of left some facial features intact while others removed totally.

It's not just an importing issue. The character creator lacks the options to make some of these Shepards.
I'm still in utter disbelief that this happened.

I wonder if anyone had gotten a face import to fully work for them in their playthrough?
I did.
Though, I guess importing the Default Shepard face doesn't really count.

It took a long time until I was satisfied, but better that than waiting for the patch.
