He looks pretty similar, enough that it's not going to irritate me during the game. The facial hair is way too dark and the hair is the wrong colour too but, as I said, ginger is no longer an option. Seems we do go extinct in the future. Everything else except the nose were correct by the code I got. The eyes are a little different but the facial structure looks spot on to me. Certainly better than when I recreated Shep in ME2 and used that code. Overall, I'm 90% happy. I still want ginger hair put back in.
ME1/2

ME3

(Squad Menu)

If anyone is interested the final code to get this Shep was:
361.WC7.HLI.151.J7K.36L.6QS.391.1I6.A59.77E.C

It's funny how pissed people were about the face import glitch and the Prothean $10 DLC... but this ending controversy just makes them look so insignificant by contrast.

any update on the fix for this yet? I haven't seen one. just asking.
Chris posted a general "patch" post in a new thread a few days ago. It could be some time before a patch is released and we don't know for sure if this issue will be among the fixes.
Personally, I got pretty good results by using this workaround:

I put the code I got directly into ME3. I still had to tweak the nose shape and hair colour but I'm happy enough that it's my Shep. You don't really need ME2, just the save file. However, it is probably best that if you do still have ME2, you create a new character save file as instructed - just to be safe. It was a pretty simple method, just a lot of little steps.
It's not quite a patch but I'm not waiting up a month for that. I could finish all three games in that time with vanilla Shepard if I wanted.
Edit: Here's Chris' general non-specific patch thread

Two motherf*cking weeks and no fix/definitive time frame.
Doesn't that make you cringe?

That being said, this situation becomes even more irritating by the lack of communication. People feel like the issue is being ignored. When there is a vacuum of information, we naturally assume the worse.
As I've said before, even a tiny post in this thread would alleviate some of the tension.

This is too much. I am willing to wait 1 more week then i guess i'll try to recreate my shep...
If you're playing on Xbox 360 and have a PC, try using the method I used. You'll just need a spare USB (it'll need to be formatted to work with the 360). You'll probably have to tweak things and the results vary but it's worth a shot. We certainly won't see a patch on Xbox 360 within a week, certification takes 2-3 weeks and that's if the patch is ready to go to cert.

I've learned to never expect time frames, especially for things of this nature. But a whole week without an update specific to this thread and IN this thread makes me cringe. I'm totally aware that Chris may not have any new info to relay, he's just a messenger after all.

Totally. He could say alot of stuff. The important thing is to show people that are waiting that there's active involvement of their concerns.

Honestly got tired of waiting and the lack of communication is just a bummer.

I created this image to show the differences between the ME versions and how ME3 interprets my character's face.
I have tried the community fix using the facecode system, as well as the default import, as you can see they don't really come close.
I could play with this if it was even vaguely close, but sadly it isn't. I'm just going to wait until they patch the game.

Thanks for posting here chris. I'm eagerly awaiting your patch so I can continue the final chapter in the adventures of max shepard, galactic badass.

The face shape and mouth look quite good in the community fix. It's as close as mine was with the code. I'd say just try adding facial hair, eyebrows, try changing the complexion colour, change the hair colour. It's hard to tell without a profile shot but the nose might also need changing. However, as I say, the face shape is there and that's the hardest part to replicate from scratch.
