To be honest that looks like a badly made waxwork of your Shepard that has started to melt.

It's hard to believe but I'd say that the ME3 face is the worst looking of the three.

Follow the instructions there. It's not perfect, but its what we have.

i follow the instructions but in the moment of import the yamlfile the option upload no work and the site no upload the face.

i use explorer is for this or the site is brocken?

i'm gonna post it again but i will be mostly ignored once again :-)

don't paste the gameface given by the yaml file directly onto mass effect 3. Create a new me2 game importing the me1 file (not necessary but it helps). Once you arrive to the creation screen you will see you're imported me1 char, the default char and the custom one. Go to the custom one and paste the gameface from the yaml. The resulting char will mostly be a little different than the imported one. This is because the yaml converter doesn't give you a perfect gameface code. Now put the sliders the the same way the yaml uploaded tells you and it will be mostly perfect. The structure will be perfect except maybe some minore things like nose shape or lips or whatever. But since you also have the imported one in the same screen it will be very easy to clone it.

Once satisfied with the results copy the new gameface from the custom one and this is the one you will be using in me3. This will result in the same shepard as you used in in me2, finished the game and imported it in me3 (except for scars gained ingame). So if it's different than the one in me2 it's because some things are missing or some things have changed not that the import is not working if you have a valid me2 gameface.

This is the tutorial i used and my shepard is pretty much perfect. It's using the same tools given in the post but it explains you what to do instead of just giving you the site and that's it

I am reminded of the last unbelievable BioWare issue . . . remember the "Glitch" in Dragon Age 2 where the more you applied the "Go Faster" perk to youyr Hawke, the S_L_O_W_E_R they moved, until you were basically Neo-ing in slo-mo while the opponent just ambled up to you and hit you 12 times as you floated towards them in your fighting animation?

A patch fixed that. I do remember the patch took 3 or 4 weeks. I remember BioWare saying, "Ooops! We'll never make a mistake THAT big again, we promise!"

And now . . .



Far as the Armour thing goes . . . it would be great if all my ME2 armour survived. I had some cool ****.

Mind you, I was rather distraught that all my awesome ME1 armour didn't get carried to ME2. I mean, I did buy heaps of it . . .

Wow.  Astonishing.  I am flabbergasted.  This should have been one of the crucial things tested, seriously.  I hope (I can dream, right?) that this will be fixed by the time the game is released here in Europe (or, more egotistically, before my pre-order arrives).

I will certainly refuse to play until this is fixed; I like my ME1 face, the one I made for my first game when I got ME1.  It is my Shepard and this "workaround" results in a comment about change of appearance or something later in the game, I hear?  No thank you. :(

Please fix this quickly, Bioware. :o

try to start a ME2 game using the imported ME1 file and then in the cc player creation enter the facecode and tweak the sliders according to what the values are in the message that site gave you entering your name. As you see some of tweaks say choose any, that's when you will have to choose the one that matches the imported one. Once you have a clone of your imported shepard copy the gameface code and paste it onto ME3

You have to put a name when you upload the yaml file, and in the code generator page, put the same exact name (CAPS included), and press generate, another given code FAIL mistake is that maybe you download the pc windows version and use the "sav" intead the yaml. (not your case cause this option dont give the 185 line error).

When I played the demo, the only thing I could think of was: this is not Shepard. This face is not Shepard at all, I want MY Shepard. I need her. I've been waiting for so long, I just want her and ONLY her.

I really hope they fix this before I get my copy, because I cannot play with another Shepard :(

you know what, don't do it, it seems those values are wrong... i guess there was a problem uploading the yaml or requesting the results using the name used to upload it

it is unplayable in the sense that I can´t play the Shepard I was playing in the last 2 games - what is the fun of building up a Shepard over two games to end up with a bland one in ME3, the whole premise of the game was thrown out of the window by the developers.

Sooo, I finally managed to get a face code for my canon femshep!

I tried to recreate her yesterday on my own and was not very happy with the result.
Compared to the fairly accurate face code I have now, you can see that my attempt was quite off on the sliders, even though the overall result is rather similar:

As has been stated before, the CC lighting is atrocious and is not representative of how the character actually looks in the game. Nor did the ME2 CC faces look the way did did in the game.
So, please, stop posting only CC pictures, people!
On the CC screen, my ME3 looks little like my beloved canon femshep. But on the two in-game scene pictures, the resemblance is there. My Shep had purple eyes, though. This really bugs me!

Too bad the new graphics are terrible and the face animations are different too. So no matter how accurate the code translates, even with a possible import fix, the result will be off thanks to the new graphics style.
Maybe I simply need to get used to the new look. I hated the DA2 style in the demo but after a few hours of playing the actual game, I started to really like the graphics.
Only DA2 did not have an import....

I think facial customisation options are one of the last things that goes into the game. The devs had probably made sure that the default Sheps imported exactly, and because the demo didn't highlight the problem (as you couldn't import a character from ME2), it kinda slipped the net. 

Hope they find a fix soon though.

Femsheps seem to come out worse on this. The eyes are really weird. Dudesheps so far in my experience(with the demo CC) seem to come out better. Different from what they were before but slightly better..

Weird. Did you use any mod or something in me2 for you character? Try to use the given sliders in me2 and choose whatever you like for the values that say "fail" or "choose any" and see how it turns out. What's always the most difficult to do in CC manually is always the face structure, and the given sliders are quite good at that, the other things like type of eyes, mouth nose can be achieved just by comparing the imported me1 file and the one you are customizing. After customizing your shepard copy the new gameface that will be compatible with me3.

Does this transfer ****-up also mean the decisions you made during the first two games don't transfer either?

I can survive having to reconstruct the face, but if the decisons don't transfer either....

Oh, and is this platform specific, or is it happening on all of them?

ME3 is not anymore done in the style of ME2 and ME1 , the devs could not leave good enough alone and ended up with an ME Gears of War expansion.

This. I don't have the game yet, but it was already quite obvious in the demo.
