Can't read my,
Can't read my
No it can't read my Shepard's face
(Reapers gonna kill everybody)
Can't read my
Can't read my
No it can't read my Shepard's face
(Reapers gonna kill everybody)

S-s-s-shepard's face, S-s-shepard's face
(Mum mum mum mah)
S-s-s-shepard's face, S-s-shepard's face
(Mum mum mum mah)

I wanna roll with them a hard crew we will be
A little scanning's fun when you're with me (I love it)
Thermal clips just are not the same without a gun
And baby when it's love if its not blue it isn't fun, fun

Oh, oh, oh, oh, ohhhh, oh-oh-e-oh-oh-oh
I'll get TIM hot, show him what I've got
Oh, oh, oh, oh, ohhhh, oh-oh-e-oh-oh-oh,
I'll get TIM hot, show him what I've got

hey for those wondering if people just forgot about this issue or gave up I have some good news.

The Facebook group about this issue grew by more than 100 the past couple of days, which is alot considering the group is now at 351. This group is huge for a technical issue and will only grow as more become aware. Eventually this is going to come full circle and Bioware will receive the bad Karma back 10 fold. They knew they were wrong releasing it without telling us this issue existed. They chose to ignore it and it's gonna come back to bite. I still refuse to play without this issue fixed. I've tried to recreate twice and have played a couple of hours through but quit both times. My enthusiasm for the game has died since this shaky launch so I actually feel little desire now to play this game as it is. I've held out for a week now, and feel I can hold out indefinitely until this is resolved. The great thing about video games is that there are actually too many great games to play at any given moment (which is the exact opposite way with movies, so maybe Bioware may feel at home when they release the Mass Effect movie in a few years)

If this issue never is resolved I will find some way to get my money back from Bioware whether they choose to refund my game or not. I'll hire myself as a Bioware anti-PR agent (i've already finished my training hours). I'll pay myself minimum wage to make the hours last, lol. maybe I'll even do some volunteer work. If people make a similar pledge to themselves, I think the damage will be much greater than getting our game refunded. Think how much impact an organzation of 100's of "employees" could have on a company. We would probably outnumber the number of employees who worked on ME3, and that would be a very conservative estimate.

I knew many more people were experiencing this issue but thought they were alone. Let's make sure other people don't get stuck playing the unfinished game we were almost duped into playing.

Don't let them win guys, keep posting on this forum, even if its the same old bickering. I try to get in at least one comment a day, which is a fraction of the time I would be spending if I was playing this premature demo.

For info about what is really going on with face importation....

I've been looking for Electronic arts email addresses to send our complaints about this issue to. The only one I can find at the moment is stockholderCommunications@EA.com. Anyone have any ideas or know any specific customer service ones? The EAxian powers make it difficult to contact them.

Every time I had a problem with them I go to their support site.
Under "Talk to a game advisor" there is an email option.

However if you want a more general customer service mail, I have no clue.

I ended up trying the face code solution from ME2 and the only aspects that were different were the hair color and eyebrows, and I was able to select other options there that closely resembled what I had from ME1.

I was even able to keep my Renegade Scars (although they didn't start appearing again until my Renegade Score went back up), I guess that makes me one of the few lucky ones with the face code workaround.

If you're still waiting for the patch, I'd highly recommend at least trying to use face codes, just start ME2, import your face, then copy all the features to the custom look option, and going back and forth right there to compare makes it real easy.

Just wanted to say thanks to those who suggested it.

Haha its been 2 weeks since this game-breaking bug was "officially" recognized by bioware.

You know that this bug was reported at least 10 times in the testing phase, and they just said "screw it" and released the broken game anyways, then after two weeks of recognizing this game breaking bug, they still refuse to do anything about it.

Maybe they will sell some DLC, 5$ to port your character over.

I've given up.... This is absolutely ridiculous.

I finally went ahead and tried remaking my FemShep and no matter which features I go with she looks horrible regardless. Something tells me this issue will never be corrected. Truth is, you can see that BioWare put extra effort into Shepard's facial animation this time, and as much as I'd prefer the older "stiffer" face I just can't see them going back.

Yesterday I finally started playing this horrid rendition of my FemShep purely because of the constant spoilers people are inconsiderately posting all over the net.... I am completely disgusted with the way this whole thing has turned out.

Disappointment of the Year.

I just wish Bioware would SAY something about this issue. Either to give us regular updates on the progress/lack thereof. OR tell us that the problem can't be fixed, which would be a tremendous disapointment but at least their fans would not be in a state of "What the heck is being done to get my Shepard back???!!!!"

For real.  A statement either way can go a long way.  Public relations they definitely suck at.

Exactly, It doesnt take that much to placate upset fans. Imagine how many posts wouldn't be posted if Chris just posted every 3-4 days "We apreciate your guys' patientce and we're working on a cure for Shepard face-melting syndrome". He might even get a couple lol's becuase of the joke. . . maybe.

A Message to Bioware:
How hard is it to type out a 4 sentence paragraph telling us an ETA on this patch?

Really, it's not as if you can excuse that because you guys are "working too hard" to tell us. In fact, nobody on this thread and everybody who HAS this damn face import bug has no idea if you are EVEN WORKING ON IT because nobody in your gold-trimmed office wants to take 60 seconds and type out two sentences to calm the hordes of hell about to knock down your doors in the name of this ****ing story-breaking glitch.

HAVE YOU NO SENSE?

The franchise is ended anyway. I doubt it's their top priority.
I just gave up and made some random face and started playing. Basically, exactly what they counted on.

Thanks for pointing that out, I had kinda looked at that before, but assumed it was chat only.  (Come to think of it, I don't know why that stopped me...other than, "Machete don't text.")

But anyway, yeah, if you fill out the first few things (what game you're contacting them about, etc.), then there's an email option.  If you pick the "Gameplay / In-game" cagetory, it has a subcategory for "Characters / Avatars." That seemed like the right thing to me.

It also lets you attach a file, so I attached one of my images.  Of course, I could have sent a link if they didn't have that option, but attaching the actual image seems more direct.  Other than that, I just said "Importing my character from Mass Effect 2 results in a drastically different appearance."

So, I'll post whatever response I get back, if any...

Basically where I'm sitting with the whole thing. Got the import bug, fixed it myself, played an amazing game, got to the end, not sure what the **** to think anymore, etc.
