The multiplayer's actually pretty fun, I'm playing it right now :)
I suppose it's because I like mini-games like N a z i (I had to do this because the word is apparently blocked) Zombies.

It's only fun for so long I've had the game since the 8th and only played the multiplayer because of this issue and boy is it getting boring.

Hmm. Good point.

Got my character's face now evolved though the pipe.. imported to ME2 from ME1. Tweaked in the ME2 CC from the custom version to get the facecode. Imported ME2 character and customized with the facecode and tweaked further in the ME3 CC. Not quite the same, but I'm OK with the new face. Her voice in the game is the same anyhow and I can forgive hair and makeup differences, people change.

ME2 fixed: 733.C9G.M17.F19.6KN.68Q.1DF.71I.HD6.415.6E4.776
ME3 fixed: 733.C9J.L1D.J91.3RN.67W.CEL.4A5.HG8.1J2.6E5.976

When we going to start taking bets that this will never be fixed as many, many, many friends of mine have told me? I was trying to hold out. Tried to recreate my character twice and failed.

Think I'm headin' back to another game tonight. MP is becoming stale and I don't want to get burnt out on the whole series.

I waited a good long while for this game. I can wait a bit longer....just do me a favor and put a fire under it.

Ya know. I'm going to go ahead and play with my lightbulb headed FemShep, but I'm done with EA titles after this. I love BioWare. Don't get me wrong.

I LOVED KoTOR 1&2, but I've had my fill of the way EA does business.

Don't mean to sound rude but I've had enough of you guys claiming you're having a wonderful time in spite of the whole face import bug. If you don't care about it, that's fine, just let's not pretend this isn't a big deal, because for many of us it clearly is.  Regardless of your "stop complaining, you losers, everything's fine" attitude, I don't really plan to waste my money on a mutilated game experience.

I wont be purchasing this game until this issue is fixed.

I find it humorous that people are causing more of a stink about the endings as opposed to the import option NOT working. This oversight is inexcusable. The premise behind Mass Effect was the import system, designed to make your experience unique across the trilogy. This feature was marketed since the 1st game, which is now unavailable to the consumer.

Like I said, this either gets fixed or I'm not going to give them my business.

The worst part about all of this is that once I eventually am able to play the game I know it's going to be bittersweet. I'll try to enjoy the game as much as I can But in the back of my mind I know I'm going to be cursing Bioware/EA up and down the entire game. This problem basically ruined the once great experience I had with ME. Now my expectations are shot and the game will never be the same. Regardless if they fix the problem or compensate us for there mistakes. Just the thought of ME3 pisses me off now. It's sad. I used to love ME so much.

hello after some reading and trying I`m posting my "findings"/question too. I don`t know if this is correct place to write that however I try :)
Dear Mr. Chris Priestly and team. Can you please make some update?background:In your post you mention that issue is casued by incorrect importing from ME1 to ME2,Well currently I`m beyond that point.I managed to get correct YAML code for my Shepherd from ME2: (thanks to posts here and other places)151.KII.7GJ.F31.LAQ.L1S.7QG.671.671.1P1.127.1But when I import it to ME3 he looks far from that. (unable to recreate from scratch until now) :(My question(s):Are you/team also looking into that topic: When pasting YAML code in ME2 and ME3 not reflecting same/similar output for some people?(I already tried playing and game is great but I need to know If I should I wait or just go ahead with playing?)Thanks

It'll probably be difficult to enjoy it after all of this nonsense.
It's even worse if you started reading all of the ending things people have been posting.

Exactly.  It was one of, if not THEE, largest selling feature this game had and they dropped the ball.  And with no explination other than "we know it doesn't work".

This seems like the one thing, the first thing, they should have got to work.  I can't play this game without "My Shepard"...that ruins the whole dynamic of the game and its as obvious as changing an actor in a movie's sequeal.

I've been avoiding anything mentioned about the ending. I figured once I get there I'll make my own opinion on it. But the fact that almost everyone hated the ending makes me skeptical.

I'm sure I'll have my own problems with the ending and with the game proper, but I'd have to actually get a chance to play it first...

It's just...really absurd that we're coming on two weeks now and they've done nothing to fix this issue. Not a word since the 9th, and even that was just an empty attempt to placate. We haven't really been told anything of substance since this started, probably because Bioware is more concerned with defending their questionable artistic decisions than FIXING THEIR GAME.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they are responding to the criticisms (even though I've avoided them myself, of course) but you'd think for a company that constantly pats itself on the back for "listening to the fans" they'd listen to the people in this thread and give us our Shepards back.

I didn't pre-order this game so that I could be waiting two weeks later for them to fix the very first thing that happens when you click on "Import". It's an obvious and inexcusable bug that affects a fairly wide range of people. That Bioware has shown such little concern for the affected players is insulting and strengthens my resolve to avoid their future products.

Ohoho, trust me. It's BAD. All I'm gonna say is that the bad ending is the one that gives you the most closure.

Well said. Dito...
if Bioware had reveiled this bug before releasing and shipping the game i would never had paid 90 euro for the SE edition with a scale model of the normandy.

I am leaving i need to sleep. In 7 hours from now my alarmclock will go.

Take care you all.

Sorry, but never said that! :? I was very dissappointed when the import gave complete stranger for me. I waited few days and played the ME2: Arrival while waiting (hadn't played that before) and then just put a bit effort how the import could work. Sure it's a bit off, but to me many of the other characters in the game seem to be off too. Sure it should have worked like it worked before, or atleast give face which is same even if the makeup/hair wouldn't match. I just noted one can take things with different attitude and little bit imagination. I hope the problem will be fixed atleast regarding the facial structures.

People are wondering why they aren't communicating and I'd propose it's because of a guilty conscience. The people who invested their talent, vision, and passion into the project were railroaded into shoving it out the door prematurely by corporate. Then they were forbidden to communicate to the public in any way that would negatively impact the sales figures. This effectively forced them to go along with the big whopper fraud regarding the import defect.

To be a leader in Mass Effect 3's development is to be in this position:

"I spent the last 2 and a half years working on a project that opens with an error message. Then I had to engage the project's most longstanding admirers and lie to their faces in order to keep my job."
