I think they can't patch it in a normal way, because the fix is above the xbox live size limit

What's the size limit, I've never heard of it. I'm playing it on PC by the way.

We're off to a good start, but I think we need to shift gears. Just threatening to stop buying their products or saying we're disappointed by Bioware will not be enough. The development team does not read the forums. The customer service employees are paid for damage control, not for making changes to the game.

If we want to make an impact we need to impact the decision makers. We need to start doing some research. Is anyone here a job headhunter or excellent at search engine operators? We need to find out exactly who is in charge of patching and post launch operations. We need to find out who his boss is too. LinkedIn can reveal this type of information as most profesionals use it to post information about their jobs and titles. There are also game developer sites and wikias (which are cool in their own right to check out) that list more hard to find information like their personal websites and other projects.

We need to know our "enemies" in order to conquer them.

Another good thing would be to find out exactly what is EA's relationship over Bioware. What say do they have post launch and what kind of guys are calling the shots.

Right now, it's like we're playing Starcraft and are sending out marines without even running a scan sweep of their base. We need to know how they operate and then send out the Ghosts to tactically nuke them.

We also need to start hitting the game news sites. Right now I'm seeing a lot of smoke and mirrors. This ending controversy seems to be what the fan outrage is being attributed to. Gamespot recently had a laughably biased puff piece titled "Why BioWare Shouldn't Change Mass Effect 3's Ending" on their website. We need to start getting the word out on the forums there. If anyone has a Gamespot or IGN account, we could start influencing the press that way. Mention the facebook group (http://www.fixmasseffect3.com) and other evidence that this issue is more popular than the average fan complaint.

By the way, if anyone is interested in doing a little work every day on this, friend me and maybe we can exchange emails. We need to put together a squad so we can do this the right way.

We should start sharing what our expertise is so we can use our talents the best way. I do social media and web design for a living. I've been helping out in that regard.

Let's keep talking, but let's focus our energy on specific ways we can end this instead of the same old "I hate Bioware" stuff (which I have been guilty of a 1000 times too).

Our Facebook group is at 666. Think about it. That's like having a staff of 600 part time workers to fix this. I know we can all only invest a little amount of time, but even a tiny amount of time by everyone makes a huge impact overall.

I like were your heading with this.  The longer this goes on the more people loose attention and just move onto something else.  I refuse to play my copy.  If they never fix it I just wont ever play it and i have never felt like that in the 25 years I have played games.  I come here once a day to see if bioware will update on this, but its clear this isint something there likely to fix or even address the issue.  And no, two small posts by a thread moderator doesnt count as anything.

Good ideas FeministShep. Last thing I did was PM Jessica Merizan and I will continue to do so everyday until her BSN inbox is full. I'm thinking about tweeting her. The only downside is we don't have their corporate emails.

If we did I'd be hitting up Ray Muzyka and Casey Hudson everyday

It links right to it at the top of the page to the right. The site is also good to check out because it contains info about exactly what is the problem. And it has a photo of Morgan Freeman staring in Diehard 3.

EDIT: oops saw it in your sig now. We're talking about the same group I think.

I'm not pretty sure if there is a limit now. There was a limit I know around 5 MB (years ago I had friends in gaming industry), I don't know if it's changed or not. I just guessing, I can't do anything else without any proper answer from Bioware :(

214 pages so far and nary a peep. I haven't even touched the SP because of this - tried out MP a bit, didn't really care for it. Honestly I wish they just came out one way or another - either update us on the status of this supposed fix or just admit that nothing is coming. I personally find this a far serious problem then all the crying about the ending (which I can't really comment on) - simply because the ending isn't a bug while the importing of characters is - it was a huge oversight (although they had plenty of time for the day one dlc). Quite frankly - imho, no amount of complaining is going to make them re-do the ending unless they do a full on expansion pack (a la BGII Throne of Bhaal)

Any idea who I'm emailing here? Knowing his job would be a good start. Just so I know how much responsibility he has in this and how much info he can give.

Second dude says he's a Senior Programmer that worked on ME3.  I have no idea what projects he's in charge of now.  Frankly, I'm almost thinking of just carpet bombing anyone associated with BioWare even their Corporate Recruiter

Whatever degree of annoyance I have with this issue, I wasn't really going to bother with the whole 'boycott' idea being thrown around by lots in this thread because of this issue. EA can't be that careles can they?

Well, after reading this article on Gamespot about EA closing down the online content for some games (some things as recent as 18 months old), especially seeing as EA games now make you buy a pass if you buy the game second hand, is for me the last straw. If we don't start voting with our wallets, this kinda of smidt will never change.

When I look at this kind of business practice,  and EA trying to justify it because they say it will effect less that 1% of their playerbase, it just makes this issue with Mass Effect 3 seem like such small potatoes to them, and of course EA control Bioware.

I dont hold out any hope of this being recified anytime soon now, and after all, whos to say that EA won't pull the plug on the patch because it wouldn't be 'finacially viable'?

Is this thread only about this issues from importing a character from me1 -> me2 -> me3? Because I'm on the PS3 version and I'm importing my character from ME2 -> ME3 and my ME3 Shepard looks completely different from my ME2 Shepard. Is this a different issue? I'm not sure if there's a separate thread for PS3 users and I don't want to sift through 200 pages seeing if someone else is having this problem too.

Thanks.

EDIT: FYI, I have pictures from my PC version which uses the same face code as my ps3 version to show the difference if that helps. :P

Can we get another udpate? You know, just to honor the more than 200 pages.

This video can help too. It shows in detail the whole process of creating and importing a character through all 3 games, also showing how different are faces with the same facecode in ME2 and ME3.

Still no news regarding this? :C What did they mess up that won't allow the faces to transfer at all I wonder? Even when you put in the face code, you get completely different faces.

I doubt this is going to get fixed any time soon.
