Well, it would certainly explain our situation...lol

Is this thread only about this issues from importing a character from me1 -> me2 -> me3? Because I'm on the PS3 version and I'm importing my character from ME2 -> ME3 and my ME3 Shepard looks completely different from my ME2 Shepard. Is this a different issue?

I think I'm going to have to go back and fire up ME1 on my PC and recreate my Male Shep and write down exactly how many clicks on the sliders I made. I'll then recreate him in ME2 and get an ME2 face code for ME3. I thankfully had a text file with the instructions for my FemShep since the ME1 days and used it in ME2 to get a new code for ME3.

I am a bit surprised some people are still hoping for a fix from bioware at this point.
I mean it's impossible that they didn't know about the issue before releasing the game...which means that either they didn't care or they didn't know how to fix it....or both.
They didn't update since more than 10 days now and all they did is saying they understood the problem and directed everyone to a half working fix made by someone else.

I’ve given up what little hope I had this issue will be resolved.
As someone who has bought each of the three Mass Effect games on release and at full price, I’m seriously disappointed by Bioware.
I’ve started ME3 twice already with different characters and had to stop both times because it just looks so wrong.
It’s ironic that as a long-time fan of the franchise I’m one of the few people that bought the game on release who still can’t contribute to the heated discussions on how the story ends.
Last night after completely failing for two hours to get the suggested fan fix to work (all face values kept coming out at 16) , I spent an hour recreating my Shepherd using photographs taken from ME2.
The way I’m feeling now, I’m completely sick of the game and the franchise. I’ll play through to the finish once and flog it off while it’s still worth something.
This has killed any enthusiasm for what was once one of my most eagerly-awaited 2012 releases and I will treat any sequels with suspicion.
I just hope the Firaxis XCOM reboot lives up to my expectations.
I detect a big problem here:fruton wrote...
If we don't start voting with our wallets, this kinda **** will never change.
In Germany there is a proverb for that, literal translation goes "the right hand doesn't know anymore what the left hand is doing"... pretty much sums this situation up, doesn't it?When I look at this kind of business practice, and EA trying to justify it because they say it will affect less than 15% of their playerbase, it just makes this issue with Mass Effect 3 seem like such small potatoes to them, and of course EA controls Bioware.
If history is any indicator of the things to come, pretty much ALL Bioware games have received 2-3 patches (Mass Effect 1 & 2 were patched to v1.02).After all, who's to say that EA won't pull the plug on the patch because it wouldn't be 'finacially viable'?

Yeah, this, and the ending debacle has just made me completely not care about ME3.
Read the spoilers, can't re-create my Shep(s) no matter how much work I do. Haven't even gotten to play the game yet. Starting to just have no desire to play it. Been re-enjoying ME1 and 2, though.
I can see why they covered this up and lied about it, though. If I had known this didn't work before I bought it, I wouldn't have purchased it.
It's insulting and disrespectful as hell to make one half-hearted statement, and not a word for 12 days. Game's been out for over two weeks, and it's been almost two weeks since they've even ACKNOWLEDGED our problem. Even more disrespectful is having the gall to direct us to a fan fix that doesn't even work for most of us.
I mean, really, Bioware? Really? A wizard should know better.
If you aren't going to fix it, just say so.
This is seriously THE worst customer interaction I've ever seen from a developer.
I'm used to much better treatment. Hell, Troika, after they were SHUT DOWN AND OUT OF BUSINESS, still PUT OUT ANOTHER PATCH FOR BLOODLINES ON THEIR OWN TIME, UNPAID.
You guys can't even give a bloody UPDATE ON ONE.
Disappointed doesn't even begin to cover it.

The most disturbing thing to me about this problem is the lack of press from the major gaming media outlets we're getting in comparison to the ending controversy (which I can't even take part in because I refuse to do an initial play through with anyone other than my original Shepard). This thread is at 216 pages and 80,000+ views and still no word from bioware for 2 weeks or any further press coverage? ridiculous and disgusting. I like the media/bioware email carpetbomb idea, you can count on my support.
